A Christmas mass was celebrated at the Maronite church in the Bab Tuma District of Damascus on Sunday night… The church is only few hundreds of metres away from the Jobar, where bloody clashes have erupted on a daily basis for the past five years… The surrounding streets where thousands of people have been killed over the past few years, were filled with music as bands marched in a Christmas procession through the Syrian capital…

The Syrian Arab Army engaging militant defenses and supply lines in Western Aleppo city with Battle-Tanks and machine gunfire… The video shows fire support assets of the National Defense Forces namely Battle-Tanks and heavy machine guns, targeting militant positions and supply lines running between the district’s of Al-Layramoon and Jamiyat Al-Zahraa(near the Prophet Mosque) on Aleppo’s city Northwestern fringes… Both Al-Layramoon and Jamiyat Al-Zahraa Neighborhoods remain heavily contested between Syrian Army-led forces and Armed Rebel groups… Syrian pro-government Forces liberated the city of Aleppo from Jihadist-led militants fighting under the banners of Jaysh Al-Fateh Al-Sham and Fateh Halab(later Jaysh Halab) in late-December 2016… Since restoring control of the main districts of Aleppo Pro-government Forces have occasionally been challenged by militant groups on the city’s Western fringes the resulting clashes of which witness Battle-Tanks Artillery and heavy machine gunfire get exchanged at stand off ranges as very much seen in the video above…

On the eve of Christmas church bells have rung out again at Saint Paul’s church in Mosul for the first time in three years, after the city was liberated from the so-called Islamic state Terror-group… Both Christians and Muslims attended a special service in the church to mark the birth of Jesus… One member of the congregation, Uday Al-Adhamy has a positive message for church-goers this Christmas: _.«As you can see this church is destroyed, but some people from this city volunteers to themselves to rebuild the church, because of its importance as a message of peace for the entire world.The church bells are back again in the city» he said… When the so-called Islamic state took Mosul the city’s Christian population was persecuted with many being forced to leave… Since Iraqi Forces recaptured the Northern city in July 2017, its former Christian population has slowly begun to return…
