And when I say “BIG move” I mean a literal move.

According to the Sun Herald, Fiat Chrysler has announced that its moving its heavy-duty truck production out of Mexico and into Michigan to open new factories, creating new jobs, and benefiting the economy.

Chrysler says the reason for this move is all thanks to the corporate tax cuts put in place by the GOP last year:

Fiat Chrysler is moving production of heavy-duty trucks from Mexico to Michigan and paying bonuses to U.S. workers in response to the passage of U.S. tax reform late last year.

The automaker will invest $1 billion in its Warren Truck Assembly Plant to make the Ram Heavy Duty Truck starting in 2020. That truck is currently made in Saltillo, Mexico, where workers will continue to make commercial vehicles.

FCA says the Warren plant will add 2,500 new jobs.

The company also plans to pay $2,000 bonuses this spring to about 60,000 hourly and salaried U.S. employees. Senior executives won’t get the bonus.

No word on how many workers they will have to fill those jobs since the GOP tax cuts reportedly killed everyone, but I guess Chrysler will just make the best of what they got.

But that’s not all. The company head believes that his employees should also share in the wealth.

FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne says the company should adjust its manufacturing footprint to reflect “improvement in the U.S. business environment.” He says employees should also share in the tax savings.

Republicans removed the dam, and the rising tide is lifting all the boats. Despite all the doomsday scenarios the left threw at us while the GOP was passing the bill, good things just continue to happen. It seems every week a corporation is announcing something good that will benefit America.

Seems lowering taxes really does do everything the right says it does.

I will never own another FCA product because they do not even honor basic warranties. Any corporation that thinks they can sell you a product and then disable part of a defective transmission without ever actually repairing it, is doomed to failure. They build junk and do not stand behind the trash. Ever try driving a jeep without second gear? They think it is acceptable. “Operating as designed” they call it. I call it bait and switch because the jeep had second gear when i bought it a few months earlier brand new.
    Buyer beware.
