What? Devin Nunes Shows Some Nerve in Digging for Dirt for His Dud of a Memo

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Well, this was a bit presumptuous of them.

A new report from the New York Times is causing some eyebrows to raise, as you begin to wonder just how far Nunes’ partisan scheming was prepared to reach.

We can say it reached at least as far as England.

Nunes apparently sent the primary crafter of the memo on a little field trip to London, in order to meet with Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence officer who put together the dossier on Trump.

Kashyap Patel, a senior staffer for House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), sought a meeting in London with Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent commissioned by opposition research firm Fusion GPS to research the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, according to The New York Times.

Nunes last summer reportedly sent Patel and another Republican staffer on the committee to meet with Steele at his London office to establish contact with the former agent’s lawyers, but showed up unannounced and were denied the meeting, a senior committee official told The Times.

That’s a new level of dumb.

You’re going to send two staffers to an entirely different nation, and then just expect them to barge in and get a proper sit-down?

They did this without consulting with Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, or with the U.S. Embassy in London.

They followed none of the appropriate protocols of setting up such a meeting through attorneys.

Insane.

Say, do you think that little London jaunt was paid for by taxpayers?

It’s a lot of trouble to go to, very clandestine, and just proof of what a conniving scoundrel Devin Nunes really is.

He needs to step away from that committee, immediately. He is abusing his position.
