Russia Releases Footage Of ‘Satan 2′ Missile Test Launch – YouTube

On Friday, Russia’s Ministry of Defense released video footage of a test launch of its new intercontinental ballistic missile, the Sarmat, nicknamed “Satan 2.”

According to CNN, the video stated the missile was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Russia.

According to Russian state-run news agency Sputnik, the launch marked the second time the missile had been successfully fired, following the first test in December.

CNN reports that the RS-28 Sarmat has been designed to replace the Soviet-era Voevoda ICBM, known by the NATO as the SS-18 Satan.
