Facebook, Google and Microsoft follow China’s Communist Business Model

While the Chinese work within a tightly controlled and impenetrable firewall, which allows them to build 5G networks and software platforms, Big Tech strives for dominating the markets for money, and not too long into the future, for complete control of the internet outside Chinese walls.

The XXI century’s equivalent of fossil fuels is data, your data. The new wars being fought as we speak are for access and processing of millions of terabytes of data, and there is no better place to aggregate data than China.

In the Asian country, over 900 million users are the perfect data pool for companies like Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu that work along the Chinese Communist Party and their companies to feed and ‘educate’ algorithms to recognize the voices and faces of mobile and 5G network users.

It is not a surprise that the world’s largest technology companies: Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and others are helping the Chinese build 5G infrastructure and software interfaces to have everyone inside the Chinese grid by next year.

In the west, meanwhile, China’s only serious opponent -the US- will only be able to have its own 5G network and perhaps not totally safe from Chinese spying by 2025. The United States is still trying to figure out how to build military-grade infrastructure and a similar firewall to the one used by China in order to protect American consumers from outside spying and influence. That will be America’s Internet wall.

The idea is to isolate the American network in the same way the Chinese protect their own network from American influence, which allows the Communist Party to have absolute control over what citizens see and hear. In China, there is no need for Facebook or Twitter, because they have their own version of them.

Access to Google is allegedly limited, given the company’s denial to do everything the Chinese wanted to do, but these same companies are working with the Party on their own social networks and censored search engines.

Only Australia and the United States have not subscribed to China’s idea of a global 5G network, with upwards of 90 countries already in agreement to accept Chinese help to install their own infrastructure, and in doing so, giving total control over user data to the Xi Jinping’s government.

According to retired US AirForce Brigadier Robert Spalding, who studied and lived in China, the Communist Party has already made the decision not to collaborate with the US in three sensitive areas:

1. China will build its 5G infrastructure all over the world where countries permit it, consequently acquiring power and control over those societies, often by buying off their politicians with cash or infrastructure projects. That’s the case of Brazil, Costa Rica and Greece.

2. China will continue to operate with no accountability in American financial markets by literally confiscating the assets of American companies that operate in China and using them to invest in the stock market, for example, without having to show any financial audits to the US government.

3. They will continue to block the US and other western companies from transferring their assets to America or anywhere else, as the Chinese run a closed business model that allows companies and investors to get their money in, but never out. In all these three areas, they will stare at the face of the US until one of the two superpowers blinks.

According to Spalding, American companies such as Microsoft and Google are working dutifully with the Chinese to spread their control grid to the West.

Though in public the Chinese government claims that financial, cultural and technological openness is great for business and globalization, inside the Communist Party, it is clear that such a thing is good only because it allows the Chinese to infiltrate governments everywhere, while they remain sealed tight both on the internet and in their finances.   “They are essentially ready to take a leading role in the international system,” says Spalding. Back in the mid-2000s when the iPhone and the 4G network married, Apple went from being nowhere to be seen as one the largest companies in market capitalization, to becoming number one, above Exxon Mobile, General Electric and Microsoft. The Chinese realized the power of controlling both the platform and the pipe, where all products and services would run in the next stage which we call the 5G network. Different from the current system, where users make use of cellphones as platforms to run apps and software, 5G presents a different paradigm. Anyone who is not keen to be followed around by Facebook or Google can simply opt-out by not using a smartphone.

But with 5G there is no opting out because there may not even be a mobile phone to carry around. According to Spalding, 5G becomes both the platform and the pipe where everything takes place and it does not depend on someone carrying a mobile device to be followed 24/7.

Just as the Chinese do it on their mainland, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft use artificial intelligence to feed data to their algorithms with the sole intent of teaching them to recognize voices and faces.

In China, there is already one street camera equipped with facial recognition for every two Chinese people. By next year, it is expected that there will be one camera per Chinese citizen in operation.
