(Before It's News)

The internet is a powerful medium and readily for perpetrating misinformation, confusion and scare-mongering. Its victims are none the wiser. Huge credit to those who invented and contributed to this great technological innovation. But we are now tired of these sensational chicken littles and scare-mongers who constantly “cry wolf.”

While it’s true that we are living in unprecedented times and the leaders of the world are navigating uncharted waters, there’s nothing new about this. The world has always lived in unprecedented times and navigated uncharted waters – it’s called technological innovation and industrial advancement and it’s been taking place for centuries. For the past 8 years or more editors and authors on alternative new sites have been threatening the collapse of civilization and the end of the world as we know it. Yes, we know that governments and bankers are greedy, untrustworthy and corrupt, that education and religion is mostly indoctrination, that society is generally apathetic, immoral and hoodwinked; and that academics are as well and truly hoodwinked, bribed and controlled as their students. But why are we now surprised about all this? Our “civilized” world has always been this way. We just didn’t know that until the internet was invented.

Unfortunately, the internet has provided opportunities for large scale propaganda and misinformation, intentional and unintentional, for wild unsubstantiated announcements and claims of “scientific breakthroughs,” usually for commercial exploitation and for proliferation of crazy or misdirected religious propaganda and scare-mongering. Knowledge and sound information is extremely valuable for those who are wise, discerning and selective, but just a little knowledge mixed up with misinformation, propaganda and religious nonsense is dangerous.

This is not a denial of the fact that the world is facing serious economic challenges, resource shortages and increases in wars, pollution and chronic illnesses, etc. The point of this commentary is that we are not going to see a sudden unpredictable end of the world; nor a miraculous secret rapture of the saints. All these things – economic systems, resource over-exploitation, wars, poverty and chronic illness – these are not completely random accidents. A small secretive group of faceless cronies from long-standing family dynasties plan and manage all these things “from behind the thrones” so to speak. They are obviously not in full control but they have so much wealth and power that they even influence the world’s popular politics in their favour. Indeed, these crony gods of this age are not stupid, blundering scrooges, as many authors on alternative new sites have been insinuating. They really don’t want to see the end of the world, just as much as everyone else. They want to keep controlling everything as they have done from ancient times and in the short term they will.

Wisdom, discernment and knowledge is valuable and powerful. But it’s debatable if the internet has been an overall benefit or has this great innovation created as much confusion and exploitation as benefit to us?

Misinformation, exploitation and scare-mongering using religious terminology and quotations is particularly damaging. It actually hinders and obstructs the task of those rare individuals who really know the truth and speak the truth for those willing to listen. Very few people are able to interpret the message of the Books of the Ancient Prophets, discern the real meaning, recognize the signs of our times and accurately predict the future. Most Christians think they know it all, but they repeatedly get it wrong and constantly put people off serious consideration of the subject and respect for prophecy. To make matters worse, these wannabe prophets have even put millions of people off seriously studying the Books of the Ancient Prophets. So these Christians who think they are helping their readers with their speculations and warnings are actually doing as much harm if not more harm than good.

So we can stop wishing for a miraculous secret rapture, or a popular overthrow of the government, or the arrival of free energy or alien technology to solve our problems. We will have to take and apply the Key of Knowledge – more of this follows.

Anyone who really wants to know what’s going on in the world, where we are heading and who to believe, should take and use the Key of Knowledge. That’s the God-given way (the only way currently known to man) for extracting oneself from this massive quagmire of misinformation, sensational speculation, exploitation and false alarms. The Key of Knowledge is a unique and powerful measuring implement that God gives those who desire and strive to become wise, knowledgeable and enlightened, rather than deceived and controlled. This exceptional implement is for those who want to choose and know our destinies rather than live under the control of other intelligent, exploiting and misguided people and organizations.
