THOMAS WIGHT ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR 7TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT SEAT

Atlanta, GA (MMD Newswire) March 7, 2014 — Democrat Thomas Wight formally qualified and announced his candidacy for Georgia’s 7th Congressional District seat.

Mr. Wight describes his campaign will focus on the key principles of prosperity, responsibility and opportunity. Specifically, we need a Representative that will rise above petty partisanship to restore manufacturing to America. Restoring manufacturing is the only way to secure real prosperity for ourselves and our children.

In 2013 Mr. Wight spent five months hiking the Pacific Crest Trail between Mexico and Canada. That experience reestablished for him that even the most difficult and complex problems could be solved through patient persistence. His approach is the antithesis of the dysfunction that has paralyzed Washington.

Mr. Wight was elected to the Lilburn City Counsel in 2011. He resigned his seat to run for Congress. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University Law School. He served seven years active duty in the U.S. Army. He served eight years as an Assistant District Attorney. He has worked as a corporate attorney and owned his own law firm.
