As she finalized her residency training in 1999, Dr. Duffy stepped into the entrepreneurial arena and opened the doors to her own practice, West Virginia Weight and Wellness, located in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Focusing on addiction medicine, substance addiction, and weight management, the clinic’s success resides in Dr. Duffy’s ability to create a patient-centered, non-insurance practice where every patient gets the time they need. Dr. Duffy entered the world of medicine in 1996 as she completed her medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine. She then conducted her residency at Charleston Area Medical Practice and became board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Duffy remains a member of several groups and societies related to her specialty and areas of interests, including West Virginia State Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Pain Society, American Society of Addiction Medicine, and American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
