Skilled Nurse Andrea Nerat, RN, CCM, to Be Published in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Andrea Nerat, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a Registered Nurse with over twenty plus years’ experience in her field and extensive expertise in various areas of nursing, including emergency room nursing, case management with children and adults, workers’ compensation, float pool nursing, and tutoring for the BSN program. With one more semester left in the Bachelor Science of Nursing program at the time of publishing, she has held a perfect GPA score of a 4.0 and on the Dean’s List all semesters. She has gone through Tutoring Excellence program, and working toward obtaining her CLRA certification. She was nominated by one of her Nursing Instructors to enter the prestigious program in her school: Leadership Academy, a course meant to define and expound upon her leadership and strengths, while recognizing other people’s strengths for optimum productivity and collaboration. This course needs staff approval, with criteria met to be included, and is offered to only 60 students nationwide for the whole year.  Andrea is currently serving patients in the state of Wisconsin.

Andrea credits her success to her strong faith, and drive due to support from family and friends. She stays up-to-date in the field of nursing through her professional membership with the American Nurses Association, Wisconsin Nurses Association, Illinois Nurses Association, National Student Nurse Association and the latest accomplishment in passing her CCM-Board Certification for the Commission of Case Manager. She will likely join this organization soon as well. In her spare time, Andrea has been a DJ/radio announcer for 19 years. She sings at weddings and also dedicates her time to camping, swimming, and nature hiking. She volunteers almost anywhere there is a need, from homeless shelters, to helping in her community. She also went down south to Mendenhall MS when Hurricane Katrina hit, and worked as an Emergency Room Nurse for a week while there helping in their community.
