2017 Total Solar Eclipse Mobile App - Your Pocket Sized Eclipse Guide

An Alabama doctor who has witnessed three total solar eclipses has developed the only “talking” eclipse timer, mobile app, for iphone and ipad.  Solar Eclipse Timer was created to enhance the viewing experience of first time observers as well as experienced chasers.  The August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse, which will cross the United States from coast to coast, provides an opportunity for millions of people to see an amazing celestial event.

As an eclipse chaser, Dr. Telepun is aware that the social nature of eclipses- with observers milling around, talking, enjoying the company of fellow participants, during the partial phases, leading up to and after totality- can lead to distraction and often times the omission to observe small nuances of the event (like changes in lighting, changes in animal behavior, etc.).  Solar Eclipse Timer was designed to audibly remind you to observe these small, yet interesting details.
