Surge in sales of Doomsday bunkers

Every cloud has a silver lining.

As we proceed down the pathway of 2011 uncertainty… it seems one aspect of the collapsed global economy is growing like a weed from the toxic wasteland of shattered NWO aspirations, which as I write could be described as an epic fail, at least in the arena of establishing a single point of contact rule over the planet.

It seems to me the flocks are now very skittish and wary of elitist monopoly of world affairs.

Compounding the economic woes and crushing sovereign debts are the quite noticeably ramping up of natural catastrophe and disaster laced with the specter of drifting atomic fallout. We also have a fair smattering of socioeconomic upheaval either in play or brewing quietly in the background providing unsettled feelings concerning oil, energy and now food supplies.

Interest seems to be compounding as our civilization slowly but surely fizzles. It seems the latest crop of “enlightened” citizens are well heeled and not shy about spreading their resource into self-preservation attempts. Far ahead of the “bug out bag” we have the “bug in bastion”, too rich by far for my blood but evidently fashionable in the elitist circles.

No doubt this explains the jaw dropping growth in the sector of doomsday shelters.

CNNMoney.com reports that the sales of specialist de-luxe ‘Doomsday bunkers’ have increased a staggering 1,000% across the USA as earthquakes, Tsunamis, nuclear accidents and escalating bloodshed engulf the planet.

That sounds like an impressive rate of growth.

As an example of the scale of money involved Northwest Shelter Systems offers shelters that range in price from $200,000 right up to $20 million! They have seen sales go up 70% since the Mid East troubles began. They’e got 12 shelters booked when four in usually the norm.

Northwest Shelter Systems owner Kevin Thompson said “Sales have gone through the roof, to the point where we are having trouble keeping up“.

Another company that sells $9,500 nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) shelter tents, UndergroundBombShelter.com, has experienced a 400% rise in enquiries.
Hardened Structures have seen a 20% rise in interest.

Unlike the cold concrete bunker mentality of the past… the latest designer bunkers have a dual purpose slant and are reputed to be eminently suited as vacation “cottages” or guest accommodations in the meanwhile.

Hopefully in a few years… the collective psyche of humanity will evolve beyond needing to fear each other and their planet and these “monuments to fear” will serve a reminder that understanding the environment, curtailing reckless, ill-advised and wanton “progress” and peaceful cohabitation is a far better approach than making concrete hidy holes.

I do think that preserving seed and genetic materials to be a good thing in a general sense because we, as a specie need insurance against ourselves until mental maturity evolves.
