How to Be "Ruler over All that He Has"

Meeting the Conditions of Luke 12:35,36,44 to be “ruler over all that He has” involves understanding the context. We must “open unto Him immediately” when He comes and knocks, Lk 12:36. The next verse says, “Blessed are those servants whom the Lord when He comes shall find watching; Verily I say to you, that He shall gird Himself, make them sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.”
Five Crucial Insights for Our Compliance:

We must be “watching.” The Greek word is gregoreo, meaning to be awake. We can’t be awake every night, but there was only one night in the year when Israel was to be awake–on the eve of Passover as Christ asked his disciples, “Watch with Me…” Exod 12:10; Matt 26:38-40. That night celebrates the greatest events of Old and New Testaments–God’s deliverance of His people from physical bondage, and His deliverance from spiritual bondage of sin. Can we not watch–meditate and appreciate that night when He sweat blood and was later whipped for us? “If we would be saved at last, we must learn the lesson of penitance and humiliation at the foot of the cross.” Desire of Ages, 83. We don’t need to kill lambs, but “watching” is still a duty. We’re like goodman in Matt 24:43. “If you don’t watch, I will come on you as a thief.” Rev 3:3.

Passover is also the context of the rest of the passage. It’s when “He shall gird Himself [again] make [us] sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve [us].” Luke 12:37. But lamb isn’t on the menu. This is about spiritual meat, not the milk of the Word that we are so used to hearing in churches.

“Open unto Him immediately” means readiness to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread that begins at Passover for seven days. Christ did not fulfill this at His death. There was no “holy convocation” on the first day (Lev 23:6,7)–He was in the grave then. He saved it for us as a feast of engagement before we covenant to be His. It’s “a shadow of things to come” Col 2:17.

Unleavened Bread is whole wheat–nourishing, but needs chewing. Just as there are 7 churches, 7 trumpets and 7 thunders in Revelation, there are 7 topics with a 7-fold emphasis as a mark of end-time truth. The topics have a contextual link to the 7 seals in Rev 6:1 where John hears thunder. Thunder is connected to God’s name. (John 12:28,29; Rev 14:1,2). When Moses took the call to Egypt, he asked God’s name. David ran toward the giant in God’s name, but “God” isn’t His name; it’s a title. His name is the first of 7 topics that have 7-fold emphasis in Scripture fto be considered for the 7-day Feast of Unleavened Bread when we must “open unto Him immediately” at His “knock,” (earthquake, previous study, 1Thess 5:2,3).

Christ said, You don’t know the day or hour. The Greek word for “know” is eido. It means to be aware, consider, perceive, understand. Christ was saying, You don’t understand. Each time He said it, He gave an example that fit a provision in the law (which is in effect “till heaven and earth pass,” Matt 5:18) for Passover a month later, “as in the days of Noah” when the Flood had Passover timing. Noah entered the ark on the 10th day–the same day the sacrifice was selected in Exod 12:3. When people didn’t heed Noah’s last appeal, they selected themselves for sacrifice.
After foolish virgins missed the marriage, Christ again said, You don’t know the day or hour (you don’t understand) for the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, Matt 25:13,14. Again we see an example fitting a provision in Numbers 9:10,11 for Passover a month later, because Christ would be taking a far journey (to heaven) and will be returning as Bridegroom in conformity to His law that specifies 2nd Passover for long journeys or contact with a dead person as Noah who buried his grand-father, Methuselah–his name meant, “at his death the sending forth of waters.” Gen 5:22, margin.
There is additional support that can be given for each point, but our purpose is not to be exhaustive; we simply want an overview for those who seek to comply with Scripture. For those wanting to watch on the eve of 2nd Passover this year, please look for the thin crescent of the moon in the western sky about 30-60 minutes after sunset on May 10. If not seen then, it should be seen May 11. Whenever it is seen, the eve of 2nd Passover is two weeks later.
May 24 or 25 would be a great time to invite friends with whom you have shared this information for a communion service–grape juice and unleavened bread or Triscuits. Watching and praying that night puts us in position to be blessed if He “comes and knocks” and we would then want to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread by considering those topics that He has given a seven-fold emphasis in Scripture, starting with http://GodsName1stSeal.wordpress.com

You have a beautiful attitude towards truth, but not everyone shares your enthusiasm, and I’m seeing that IAUA is going to get everyone’s attention in the “knock” when we are supposed to “open unto Him” and it will be at that point that the topics emphasized seven times should come into focus. Until then, “the times of this ignorance God winks at” (Acts 17:30,31) but in the time of judgment He will enlighten us and unify us in truth. For now, I think let’s build bridges and “to the Jew, become like a Jew” that we might win the Jew, letting our light shine in whatever sphere we find ourselves. May He bless and guide you…

This highlights a problem we presently have. The calendar being observed in Jerusalem is not YHWH’s Calendar. The latter Second Temple Priests were following a lunar calendar which was not YHWH’s Calendar. This is best demonstrated by the death of the High Priest each and every year when he entered into the innermost sanctuary to sprinkle blood on the Ark of the Testimony on the incorrect Day of Atonement. (This is confirmed by the historical record and by the writings of men alive at the time.) YHWH’s Calendar is not a lunar calendar. YHWH’s Calendar is based on sevens and has as its confirming witnesses firs the Sun and then the Moon.
Genesis 1:14
And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from night (night is not part of the day); and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years…
Conspicuously missing from this list is any mention of the ‘chodesh’ – the Hebrew word for month. This Hebrew word ‘chodesh’ must be examined more closely than we have been examining it. Almost all of the translations into English as well as most of the concordances and lexicons (certainly Strong’s and BDB) have operated under the ASSUMPTION that the Hebrew word ‘chodesh’ is meant to signify a lunar month. The word ‘chodesh’ is very often translated as ‘New Moon’. But the Hebrew word for ‘Moon’ has absolutely nothing to do with ‘chodesh’.
Here is the problem: All months according to YHWH’s Calendar have 30 days. This can best be demonstrated through the timeline of the flood narrative in Genesis. Then there is the fact that there are ZERO examples of a 13th month in the Scriptures, which the lunar calendar often requires.
Amos 5:21
I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
Why does YHWH so often say how much He hates the appointed times being observed? Were the wrong days being kept?
Hosea 5:7
They have dealt treacherously against YHWH: For they have begotten strange children (a strange lunar calendar?): Now shall a MONTH (chodesh) devour them with their portions.
Is the ‘wife of our youth’ in these passages YHWH’s Calendar and the ‘strange children’ we have begotten the strange Babylonian/Sumerian lunar calendar which the Second Temple priests and today’s rabbis have adopted?
All of the evidence shows that YHWH’s Calendar had only months of 30 days, with four marker days per year. It is also said that “THIS MONTH shall be the head (beginning) of months for you” whereas the rabbis have us looking for the ‘aviv’ (ripe) barley in order to DETERMINE the head of the year. Doing it the way the rabbis do it means being a month late every year. The first month is the month OF the ‘aviv’; the barley is a confirming witness. It is a sign. It is not itself the determining factor for the beginning of the year the following month. YHWH tells us how to determine the head of the year. The Hebrew word we should be looking at is ‘tekufah’( תקופות).
It is not possible that the same phase of the Moon is used to determine the beginning of each and every 30 day month. Furthermore – it is very clear from the Gospel accounts that Messiah was not keeping to the same calendar as the ruling authority in power at the time of His crucifixion. There are apparent timing discrepancies contained in the Gospels which reveal that there were two calendars in use at the time: The Temple and the civil authorities were not keeping the same Calendar that Messiah and the disciples were keeping.
We can never hope to find the correct feast days if we are following the wrong calendar. The assumption that the lunar calendar of the rabbis in Jerusalem is the scripturally correct calendar of YHWH must be scrutinized by us as thoroughly as we can. There are myriad clues left for us in both the Old and the New Testament writings that a change in calendar had in fact been made. No such substitution will ever be accepted by YHWH.
Among the list of duties we have arrayed before us for completion before His return is the restoration of the Torah of Moses to its fullest and the restoration of the Calendar of YHWH. Only then will we have a chance at meeting Him in the appropriate place at the appropriate time.

Yes, I understand, to some extent the problem with everyone reading calendar or Scriptuires differently. You are welcome to believe every month must have 30 days if you wish, but I think the weight of evidence favors watching for the thin crescent as a “new” moon after two or three nights of not seeing it, as a baby grows to maturity, so does the moon.
I have seen three modern time applications of prophecy that fit the thin crescent and would be glad to explain them briefly, if you would like to call me at 928 583 7543.

I would much enjoy speaking with you on the phone at some point. The matter of the calendar isn’t going away any time soon. Our interpretations of prophecy either bear resemblance to the facts of Scripture, or they do not. We are learning. Genesis 1:14 is quite clear however, that the Moon is not for months. Neither the Sun nor the Moon are used to determine the beginning of the Month, according to this verse.
There is also the matter of ‘extra canonical’ books like 1 Enoch and Jubilees to contend with: Another issue entirely, but certainly linked to any investigation into the question of the calendar. There are many excellent sounding comparisons with nature (like the baby growing to maturity) which are frequently compared with one or another of the lunar month paradigms. These comparisons all sound good, but can any of them be confirmed using the verses of Scripture? This is perhaps a study for another day.
I did just read the page you linked to above regarding the Name of our Elohim:
“Josephus said they (the four letters of HIS Name) were all vowels.”
If we ever find a confirming witness for this, then it would bear considerable weight. But I don’t recall ever hearing it said elsewhere. ‘ee-aah-oo-aah’ and ‘ee-aahoo-ehh’ (Yahweh) are pretty close.
Another problem we have is the pronunciation of the Modern Hebrew language itself. When spoken Hebrew was being ‘reconstructed’ in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s via the movement started by Ben Yehuda, only certain regional dialects were taken into consideration. For all intents and purposes, the ‘dead’ language of Hebrew was ‘resurrected’ into its modern form through a series of personal choices made by Ben Yehuda himself. Regional dialects which were seemingly the best choices for consideration, such as Yemeni Hebrew, were not taken into account when reconstructing pronunciation. This means that what we call spoken Hebrew today likely bears little to no resemblance at all to the phonetic verbalization of ancient (authentic) Hebrew. I am of the persuasion that we are being hasty if we think we know how to pronounce His Name at this time. We will know when with our own ears we hear His Name spoken by one of His Messengers. In the very instant we hear it spoken, we will know with every fiber in our being that it is His Name. It will be like remembering all of a sudden. I also contend that the Name will sound like nothing we have ever heard uttered (except perhaps in our dreams) and nothing any of us have ever conjured in our imaginations. Time will tell.

The author fails to take note that Luke was NOT an apostle of Jesus, nor was Mark and their writings are rightly ignored. Luke and Mark are copying some of what Matthew wrote, but with important omissions: no where in Luke or Mark is any of the scathing statements made by Jesus to the Pharisees and scribes. Jesus calls Pharisees and scribes of the Devil, children of Hell, condemned to Hell and upon whom judgment shall fall for all the righteous blood shed on earth (John 8:44, Matthew 23:15, 23:33 and 23:35). The writings of Mark and Luke also contain a few lies.
The author is preaching some of Matthew and instructing Gentiles to observe what was instituted by God for Jews, and which Gentiles are allowed to participate, and in the case of Unleavened bread, Gentiles staying with Jews must also refrain from eating leavened bread (Exodus 12:19).
Does the author realize that Pharisee Paul CURSES any and all beings that preach the gospel of Circumcision to the Gentiles?:
Galatians 1:8-9 “But if we or an angel from heaven preach to you any other gospel but the one we have preached unto you, let him be cursed … if any man preach to you another gospel but the one you have received, let him be cursed.”
Galatians 2:7 “The gospel of UN-circumcision was committed to me [Paul] for the Gentiles ….”
The seven churches are NOT of the Gentiles and are not a building; the churches are the Jewish believers upon the Lord whom the Lord divides among seven churches. Just as Jesus confirmed the Temple is his Father’s House of Worship and confirmed the prophets (Transfiguration with Moses and Elijah), so too the seven golden candlesticks represent Jewish believers upon the Lord (Rev. 1:20).
The Gentiles are taught by the false apostle and the anti-Christ Pharisee Paul that Jews are the enemy. Romans 11:28 “The Jews are the enemy of the gospel for your sake.”
John 4:22 “… salvation is of the Jews.” And the gospel that comes from the King of the Jews, as recorded by Matthew and John is not an enemy of the Jews.
The Jews ARE the enemy of the false gospel of UN-Circumcision to counter (to anti) the gospel of Circumcision from the minister of Circumcision, Jesus Christ (Romans 15:8, Galatians 2:7-8). And the gospel which Jesus Christ taught while on the earth, in the flesh is for Jews and Gentiles, not just Jews as alleged by the false apostle Pharisee Paul.
Revelation 14:6 “And I saw another angel flying through the midst of Heaven having the everlasting gospel to preach to ALL nations, to ALL kindred, to ALL tongues and to ALL people.”
