A Covenant With Death- 'Israel Will Realize That'
Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem. You boast, “We have entered into a covenant with death, with the grave we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place.”
So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed.
I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place. Your covenant with death will be annulled; your agreement with the grave will not stand. When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it.(Isaiah 28:14-18)
I first wrote about this passage from Isaiah in 2005. At the time Israel was in the process of giving up the Gaza Strip in the hopes of moving closer to peace with the Palestinians. Of course it didn’t work and since then things have only gotten worse for the Jewish people. Every effort they’ve made to accommodate world opinion has left them weakened, while their enemies have become stronger.
As I read the ongoing accounts of Israel’s current situation, Isaiah’s words still come to mind. Some believe that in his prophecies Isaiah was sending the Southern Kingdom three messages simultaneously. The first had to do with the near term and warned them of a coming judgment at the hands of the Babylonians. It would be similar to the one the Northern Kingdom was about to receive from the Assyrians. The second message concerned the times surrounding the first coming of the Messiah, and the third described events at the End of the Age. Scholars who hold this view claim that in some places Isaiah refers to all three time frames at once. If so Isaiah 28:14-18 is one of them.
What’s He Talking About?
The meaning of the passage is clear. By making treaties with countries committed to their demise, the Israelites were fooling themselves into believing that they’d be exempt from those countries’ plans for expansion and conquest. In truth Israel’s policies of appeasement would generate agreements based on wishful thinking that would be quickly broken whenever the enemy found it convenient to do so. It proved to be true with the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Syrians of Greek times, the Romans, and lately the “Palestinians.” This policy will finally culminate in the ultimate self-deception. Having rejected the One who came in His Father’s name they will accept the one who comes in his own name (John 5:43). The coming treaty with the anti-Christ will just about bring them to ruin.
The Lord had Isaiah warn His people that there was only one man in the world they could trust, and that was their Messiah. Only He would deal justly and righteously with them. All others, even their supposed friends, would lie to suit their own purposes, which would always run contrary to Israel’s.
Those of us with Biblical background and prophetic understanding watch closely as Israel’s current leaders are being pressured from all sides to once again evict their own people from God-given land, explaining that by doing so they’re achieving peace with their neighbors. (In Israel, the West Bank is known by the Biblical names of Judea and Samaria, both of which were part of the original Promised Land.)
As you read this, US Secretary of State John Kerry is in Israel discussing the latest US “framework” for peace. It calls for Israel to hand over 92.8% of the “West Bank” to the Palestinians. Eighty percent of all Jewish settlers on the West Bank would be confined to four major settlement blocs, which Israel would annex. The remaining 20% (about 80,000 people) will have to either be absorbed into these settlements or be moved to other locations inside Israel.
Jerusalem would be divided to create a capitol city for “Palestine” but sovereignty over the heart of the Holy City, with its unique and historic concentration of Jewish, Christian and Muslim shrines, would pass to an international commission comprised of the US, Israel, the Palestinians, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
Personally, I don’t think Bible prophecy favors a successful conclusion to this current round of negotiations, at least not in any long term sense, because I think the goal is to leave Israel permanently weakened to the point where they can never again be a threat to Middle East Peace. Our leaders never seem to learn that a weakened Israel has always made war more likely, not less so.

Israel IS NOT RULED by Jews of the Lord.
The Jews will recognize the Christ who is revealed in the writings of Matthew and John is their Lord. Christ DOES NOT speak against Jews of the Lord, the Temple or the law of Moses. Christ DID NOT cause the daily sacrifices to cease and called the Temple THE HOUSE OF PRAYER (Matthew 21:13).
It is the evil ones who will cause the daily sacrifice to cease (Daniel 11:30).
Christ merely called for mercy over sacrifice, but did not stop the daily sacrifice. Christ only called for mercy over sacrifice, so whereas death would be imposed for adultery, Christ said I do not condemn you just stop sinning (John 8:11).
Christ did not do away with the law, what to do away with when the law seeks love of God, love of neighbor. The only thing Christ did away with is penalty under the law.
Blood is the atonement for sin (Leviticus 17:11). Christ’s blood paid the penalty for all sins, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit that is never forgiven (Matthew 12:31).
Therefore, Christ says condemnation of evildoers that sends them to Hell will not be for having done evil, but for refusing to give up evil deeds (John 3:19-20). And for those who would have given up evil had they received the message of God, of Christ, Christ knows (Matthew 11:23-24).
The people of the Lord, whether Jew or Gentile, have no control over the kingdoms of the world. At one time, God exercised ‘repent or wrath’, but as of John the Baptist, it is ‘repent because the kingdom of God is coming’.
The kingdom of God is coming to earth. Matthew 13:41 Christ shall send his angels to remove from the earth all evil people and all things that are offensive to God
Many many liars who claim to speak prophecy but are liars (Matthew 7:22-23). They think they are of Christ, but are not and Christ sends them to Hell.
Christ says the Jews will get their Temple when they recognize, say: blessed is that man who comes in the name of Christ. The third Temple will be so therefore at that time Jews in significant numbers will recognize that Christ is their Lord. They will learn that the Christ revealed in the writings of Matthew and John is the true Lord; and that the anti-Christ made up entity in Pharisee Paul’s gospel is a lie.
Christ is for the Jews, for the Temple, for the law of Moses. Christ never stopped the daily sacrifices, never spoke against the Temple, never spoke against the Jews of the Lord. Christ said salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22). Christ said the law of Moses will not be done away with until the new Heaven and earth (Matthew 5:17-20).
But as to Pharisee Rabbi’s Paul’s made up Christ, that false anti-Christ entity allegedly says he hates Moses’ law, nailed it to the cross (Colossians 2:14). Hates Jews saying they are the enemy of salvation, purposely blinded by God (Romans 11:28, 11:30-32). As the Jews of Asia said, Pharisee Rabbi Paul preaches everywhere against the Temple, against the Jews and against the law of Moses (Acts 21:27-30).
These same Jews of Asia rejected Pharisee Paul and to reject Pharisee Paul is to reject church altars, church rulers because same are strictly of Paul’s gospel.
Read Revelation 22:18-19 and KNOW that men could and did change John’s words in the Book of Revelation. Where all of Asia rejected Pharisee Paul there could not have been establishment of Paul’s altars, his church rulers!

Christ tells his Jews of Asia they were right to call liars those men who claimed to be his apostles (Rev 2:2). Pharisee Rabbi Paul went to Asia to convert Jews to be leaders in his churches, but they rejected him.
Logic dictates that where all of Asia rejected Pharisee Paul, then it is NOT CHURCHES, but rather synagogues that John addresses in Rev. 1:4.
It is Jewish believers on the Lord in their provinces in Asia to whom Christ speaks, not Gentiles in their churches. CHRIST DID NOT MOVE OVER TO GENTILES AND ABANDON JEWS! Christ choose JEWS as his apostles, not Gentiles!
Does Christ say his gospel is against Jews?
NO
But Christ does say his gospel is against Gentiles and kings (Matthew 10:18).
The Jews will awake to the truth that the Christians are liars, and the christ they present to Jews is the anti-Christ make believe entity that Pharisee Paul invented. Christ does not hate the law of Moses, Christ does not hate the Jews, Christ does not hate the Temple! But the anti-Christ fairy tale figure invented by Pharisee Rabbi Paul does hate all the foregoing.
The Jews will awaken to the truth that the Christ revealed in the writings of Matthew and John is their Lord and he NEVER SPOKE AGAINST the Jews of the Lord, the Temple or Moses’ law.
The Gentile Christians gloat that the Lord moved away from Jews and gave the true altars, the true worship to believers on Pharisee Paul’s gospel. But they ignore the fact that a third Temple will be. When the Jews say blessed is the man who comes in the name of the Lord, their Temple is restored to them.
WHY NOT SAY when the Jews realize Christ is Lord that they begin kneeling at church altars?
The answer is, CHURCHES ARE NOT OF GOD. Think about it, the Jews say Christ IS, they recognize him and what does Christ gives his Jews, THEIR TEMPLE. Christ does not give them church altars. Yet the Christians believe they have the true altars and Jews need to recognize: grace, no more law of God.
There will be much indignation, hatred for the Temple and the daily sacrifices yet as when Christ called the Temple the House of Prayer while daily sacrifices were ongoing, so too the third Temple will be the House of Prayer in which an abomination is set up, shortly thereafter begins God’s revenge on the world for killing his people (Rev 6:9-17).
There is a great slaughter of Jews to come. Jews of the Lord who will instruct many in truth, they will speak against church altars, against the gospel Christians adore, the gospel of Pharisee Rabbi Paul (Daniel 11:33).
By murdering Christ, Israel made a covenant with death, as the prophets foretold it would.
By preaching the “rapture” heresy, Mr. Rolls has likewise made a covenant with death by murdering Biblical truth, which does not support any such pre-trib “rapture” event.
Referring to His life Jesus said “No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment I have received of my Father.” (John 10:18) By claiming Christ was murdered, it would be easy to accuse YOU of murdering Biblical truth. A pre-trib rapture is the only rational conclusion that can be reached if you take the bible literally. You should first get your theology straight before accusing others of heresy.
