Behold, the Winnowing Shovel of the Son of God !

       John the Baptist prophesied before the People of God who had been waiting for the Saviour for one and a half millennia:

His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and will gather his wheat into the granary; but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.” (Mt. 3:12)

But, we do not see this prophecy being fulfilled in the First Coming of the Son of God to this earth 2000 years ago. Jesus Christ himself declared that he came to seek the sinners and he offered his life as a ransom for their sins. He did not come to pass the judgement on people then (Jn. 12:47). In other words, the Son of God declared that he would not use the winnowing shovel in his first coming.

Besides, is not the winnowing shovel used after the harvest has been gathered? The time when the wheat is gathered in the harvest is the End of Ages (Mt. 13:39). It is clear that 2000 years ago, it was not time to reap and gather the harvest. Only when all the children of God deposited in Adam are born on this earth (Acts 17:26) and only when all the good seed that the Son of Man sowed are ripe (Mt. 13:37-38, Jn. 4:35) can the harvest be gathered (Rev. 14:15).

However, the prophecy that John the Baptist, the last prophet, made must be fulfilled in Jesus Christ just as all other prophecies about him (Lk. 24:44). If the prophecy that is written in Mt. 3:12 was not fulfilled in his First Coming, then Jesus Christ must and will fulfill this in his Second Coming.

When the winnowing shovel is used, is it not the wind that separates the wheat from the chaff? The wind stands for the Spirit and the Spirit is the Word of God (Jn. 6:63). Besides, it is written that all the works of God are executed through the Word of God (Sir. 42:15). 

In the First Coming, the Son of God taught in streets, synagogues, on mountains and on the sea shore in person. But God has prophesied through Isaiah that when he comes to this world to establish Divine justice, (in the first coming he did not establish Divine Justice) he will not weep nor will his voice be heard on the streets (Is. 42:1-4). This means, the Son of God who comes to this earth for the second time will not use the winnowing shovel directly. However, since it is the commandment of God that Jesus Christ himself must do this (Mt. 3:12), he cannot avoid doing this. So the Spirit of the Son of God must use his winnowing shovel through some others. So God the Father has prophesied that before the Son of Man comes to save his flock and to judge all people, the Messenger of the Covenant – the Messenger of the Good News – would be sent to pave the way for the Saviour (Mal. 3:1-2). 

The Winnowing Shovel that God uses in the End Times, the Winnowing Shovel that the Spirit of the Son of God uses through his servants is the preaching of the Good News (Is. 41:14-16). This Good News will be preached ONLY in the End Times. The Good News is the proclamation and preaching about the Glorious Manifestation of the Saviour, the Salvation that God has prepared to be revealed in the End Times (1 Pet. 1:5) and the Kingship of the Son of God (Is. 40:9-10). In fact, the Good News is the Word of God (News) that restores Eternal Life and Divine glory to the Children of God, who were sent out of the Garden of Eden with the curse and yoke of death upon them (Jer. 29:11-14). It is through the preaching of the Good News that the wheat and the chaff are separated in the End Times. 

Behold, the Winnowing of the wheat has begun! Where would you like to be gathered – to the granary of the Son of God or to the bundles that are tied up to be burned?
