It’s always the end of the world.
Totally NOT what the pope said!
A “personal relationship” with Jesus CAN be dangerous because people often base this relationship on their own idea of who Jesus is. You can’t have a real relationship with somebody if you don’t really know who he is. You can’t know Jesus without knowing the Church. If you try to, you will only create a falsified image of Christ which suits your own personal biases and lifestyle.
In other words, you’re “personal relationship” with Jesus may actually be nothing more than a relationship with yourself. Think about it. If there’s no infallible Church authority to tell you who Jesus really is, then you get to decide for yourself. Since human beings are fallible and subject to error, you can never even be sure if your idea of Christ matches the real thing. Hence, 40,000+ denominations and growing. Everybody thinks they’ve got Jesus right, but most have gotten Him very wrong.
That’s the difference between Catholics and Protestants. We all believe that human beings are fallible, but Protestants believe God inspires them each individually to understand the Bible for themselves. Catholics on the other hand, believe that God inspires the successor of Peter (pope) to pass on the teachings of the Apostles infallibly when he speaks ex cathedra.
When you consider the whole of Church history, the writings of the Fathers, and the even the origin of the Bible as we know it, the Catholic position just makes more sense.
We have an infallible autority on spiritual matters. It’s called the Holy Bible.
And it tells us the way of salvation, and His Name is Jesus. In His own words: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me.” Anyone who tells you otherwise is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and a blasphemer. Don’t listen to them.
You cannot be saved apart from a personal relationship by faith with Jesus Christ.
The pope in telling people to avoid a personal relationship with Jesus is showing his true colors, that he is a false prophet if not the antichrist himself.
More of the same false doctrine peddled by catholics, who throw the words
of Y’shua out in favor of some false front called a pope.
Y’shua said NO AUTHORITY of one believer over another.
Y’shua said not to use TITLES like leader, father, teacher, pastor….etc.
There is ONE SHEPHERD, and the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth_reality, not some
false authority calling themselves popes, cardinals, pastors, elders etc.
You follow Paul’s words, you will always end up in a ditch, the ditch of Hierarchy and Titles,
the way of the world that is on the way to destruction. The way of controlling others
through lying words of someone that many put up equal to He who is I AM.
Paul did not say what you think; he has been badly misinterpreted, by those who love power and hierarchy.

But I agree that scripture, including Paul, does not teach hierarchy. It was Paul who said “There is no Jew nor Greek, no slave nor free, not even male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 3:28), and that as parts of one Body, no part can boss another part. Paul was taught by Jesus directly, and in spite of being a Pharisee, he was a completely changed man after encountering Jesus.
The “Final Warning”?
So there’s no more warnings after this one then, right?
And may I ask, what is the difference between a “Must See” admonition and a “Must, MUST See” admonition?
