The reason why Protestants used to teach that is because they were in opposition of the Roman Catholic Church. So it would make sense to demonize those who you view as the enemy. However, not many teach this anymore since the grudges of the past have since faded. I should add to the section about the Church being a Mother this.. And a woman with children is a Mother.
None of those verses you quoted say anything about the rosary Trent. Not a single one. They all speak of prayer to the Son and the Father, it doesn’t say to pick up an idol and pray to the mother of Messiah. Why are you wasting everyone’s time with this? I assume you copied and pasted someone else’s list because I didn’t ask you for your opinions on Communion, Confirmation or any other Catholic ritual.

As far as your quoted verse in relation to Peter, I won’t waste my time trying to show you how you just cut and pasted the fluffy part all while ignoring the rest of Matthew 16. That being said, try to man up and talk your way out of what happens just a few verses later:

And when have I ignored something relevant. Mind you, aside from your verse on Peter, you haven’t offered anything pertinent from the Bible to the discussion (even though your referrence to Matthew 16 is a platitude played out and disproven fairly easily – but you would know that if you took your head out of the sand and read something non-Catholic). What do you expect to find if you only read Catholic sources? Same as the Jew who only read Jewish sources.

To expand on Peter’s role in Matthew 16, we know from Peter’s own words in 1 Peter 2:7 that Christ is the cornerstone that the builders rejected which has become the capstone. Even Augustine agreed when he wrote, “On this rock, therefore, He said, which thou hast confessed. I will build my Church. For the Rock (Petra) is Christ; and on this foundation was Peter himself built.” The head of the universal Church is Messsiah, and Him alone. There’s no apostolic succession.
