YES, JUDGEMENT ON AMERICA IS COMING!

But is it coming as Jonathan Cahn states? Let’s take a brief look at Jonathan Cahn’s The Harbinger and the reality of God’s judgement on America.

The premise of Jonathan Cahn’s The Harbinger  rests upon Isaiah 9:10 “The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.” referencing the tragedy of 911 and the rebuilding of the world trade center. Jonathan includes Americas falling away, as a people and as a nation, from the foundation on which America was built: God. The Harbinger has accomplished what most churches choose to ignore: It has alerted America to the Biblical consequences of rejecting God and His guidelines.

Understand that the overall purpose of The Harbinger is to call America to repentance and turn her back to God. It is also to warn of the danger of God’s judgment which is to be commended.

I believe America is and will be under judgement with a more severe curse yet to come. Why will America be judged? 

As Jonathan has rightly noted, we are killing millions of yet-to-be-born infants, slaughtered in their mothers womb.

We have dumbed-down the Biblical stance on gay marriage and we are the leader, from the White House on down, of homosexual advocacy.

We are the largest exporter of pornography.  

But these are just a few atrosities that brings judgement.

Our president has turned his back on Israel, bringing a curse upon this nation. (Genesis 12:3, Numbers 24:9,Genesis 49:9) We have been blessed throughout these past years because our leadership has ‘blessed’ Israel by being their ally. We cannot currently say the same.

God does indeed judge nations.  (Psalm 9:8, Ezekiel 9:1-11, Isaiah 53:1-12, James 4:4, Amos 8:11,12 & 9:23, Jeremiah 25:31) 

Matthew, as well as other books of the Bible, warns us that in the last days false prophets will abound with religious deception. “Wolves in sheeps clothing” (Matthew 7:15, Romans 16:17-27) that pretend to be for you when they are actually out to destroy your eternal destiny, your very soul.

“…no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,  for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:19-21

“I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied…” Jeremiah 23:21

“…the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak… that prophet shall die.” Deuteronomy 18:18

I am NOT referring to Mr. Cahn as a false prophet, but I am warning us to take every “new revelation” with a large dose of salt. One of the signs that the end times is upon us, is Acts 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.”

We must not take each ‘new revelation’ or expounded revelation, dream or vision as gospel truth, but measure them against the Word of God for God will not, and never has, contradict Himself or His Word. He tells us not to believe everything we hear but rather to weigh it!  (1 John 4:1-6)  This is partly why we need to be very familiar with His Word so that we can recognize the truth when we hear it and not bits and pieces of truth thrown in to make it sound “right”.

Remember, Jonathan does not claim to have received a vision or a dream or even a word from God. His belief is that a series of signs have manifested since 911 that are revealing a ‘mystery’ and on what he believes are undeniable facts from the biblical text. He is doing what any Watchman would do and is warning us to repent! But BEWARE! Date setting is unbiblical. Not even Jesus knew the time/date of His return (while He was on Earth. He sure knows now). So, if someone is stating a new revelation with a specific date, DISREGARD!

Is The Harbinger a prophetic word? There is only one question that is the ultimate answer: 

Does it line-up with the Word of God?

The Bible tells us that every human has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God which is  is a heart-penetrating truth. He has provided a way to cleanse us of our sins since we can never be “good enough” to cleanse ourselves. That avenue to God’s grace, mercy and forgiveness (the cleansing of our sins) is through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth Who is equally God.
