This statement is so far removed from reality, it can only represent a deliberate attempt to pervert the truth. It argues against the very reality of biblical revelation itself.
The very power by which Jesus Christ ministered on Earth was clearly revealed as a Spirit which “will show you things to come” (John 16:13).
Jesus Christ Himself gave, in live format, delivered direct to His disciples, the most powerfully detailed prophecy about the future, most especially the end times, that is preserved in the Bible (Matthew 24; Mark 13, Luke 21).
The Word of God declares of the very Godhead, “Worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10).
The pope’s statement is not just a grave deceit. It goes beyond that. It is plain blasphemy.

The Pope’s message was obviously intended to quell widespread fears that the “end of the world” is imminent, when it is clearly not. While Benedict does acknowledge that many ills (such as the spread of relativism and natural disasters) do exist, he points out that, no matter what happens, Christ remains the sole stabilizing source of hope to all mankind, and that Biblical prophecies about dire events do not subtract from that reality.
Benedict also elucidates the fact that, because Christ is Divine, His role extends far beyond that of a mere prophet. There is a much deeper dimension to what Christ says in Scripture about the “last days.”
Everything the Pope said was correct, yet Protestant pastors (who think they are endowed with the graces to interpret Biblical prophecies but are not) can’t tolerate the fact that most of what they teach their flocks is utterly heretical.
The notion of a “rapture,” or of Christ returning to reign in Person on Earth during the millennium, is all heterodoxy. Neither of these events are going to happen.
Christ promised to stand by Peter until the end of time, and for the past 2,000 years He has, and will always continue to do so until Christ comes in glory to judge the living and the dead on the last day.
Let’s list the non Biblical words and terms of this deluded wretches’ comment:
1) Vatican which should be written VatiCAIN because Rome carries the mark of Cain. Vatican means House of Divinations or Demons.
2) Holy Vicar of Christ – no such Biblical office, so this is a total religious construct – made up by hu-man beings.
3) The Pope meaning patria, papa or father when Yashua Anointed gave strict instructions to call NO MAN your father, when the only Father is The Father in heaven. ‘Church Fathers’ is another satanic blasphemy of Rome.
4) “Christ is divine.” Nowhere in the New Testament does it say that Yashua Anointed (Christ) is divine so this is just another perversion and twisting of the Holy Scriptures by Rome – a lie.
5) Stand by Peter? Again, nowhere in the Holy Scriptures does it say that Yashua Anointed is going to do that. Why would He, Peter is dead in his grave.

Word of God is so clear for any one who read Mat 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 can easily understand that it is about His coming the end of the world. Christ was not a seer. A seer is someone who has and interprets visions and makes predictions and guesses. Often under the influence of dark forces. Christ was speaking as someone with first hand knowledge of the events reciting facts. End of the world? Revelations are clear. Armageddon is not the end of the world. A terrible tribulation. mass suffering. death. destruction. end of the antichrist, but not end of the world. not even the end of satan. that happens with the battle of gog/magog as a completley seperate event a thousand years latter. There is plenty of historical evidence from the period only it’s mostly about His Resurrection (whether it took place or not) not about whether He existed or not. The fact that He did exist can easily be deduced as a given. You just need to do your research.

You are correct. Christ was (and is) indeed a prophet. He also foretold the destruction of the Second Hebrew Temple, and in 70 A.D. it was burnt by Roman General Titus, the 21-year-old son of Roman Emperor Vespasian.
But the temple’s ample supply of gold embellishments were plundered and taken to Rome to finance the construction of the Coliseum where countless Christians were martyred for the amusement of Rome’s coarse pagan citizenry.
Pope Benedict did not say Christ was not a prophet. The pontiff pointed out that Christ’s words convey a much deeper meaning than mere prophecy alone. And the pope is right. They do. But this meaning is being lost on redneck Bible-thumping preachers who are warping the meaning of Biblical prophecy to support heretical notions that are confusing and misleading their flocks.
