Did Netanyahu Just Prove Jesus Existed?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

For those of us who believe in Jesus, the question is absurd, but there are many that claim that Jesus never existed at all. In a unprecedented response to the Pope, Netanyahu states this;

“Jesus was here, in this land. He spoke Hebrew,”

Now, Netanyahu is a man with some serious inside knowledge, especially since he controls the land where Jesus spent the most important years of his short life. But, the Pope is not uninformed either. How does either one of them know for certain what language Jesus spoke? Hmmmm

Maybe could speak it but most people around him would have spoken the Semitic Aramaic

I don’t believe jews ever denied Jesus existed – there are historical records that show he did. They believe that he was just a bad jew, and a troublemaker.

Even Muslims believe that Jesus existed. Being the son of God is the contention.

Bottom line, there’s no answer to this, both Aramaic and Hebrew proponents having their arguments. It’s like the birth year and the death/resurrection year of Jesus Christ: somebody could do a doctoral thesis with compelling arguments, but, bottom line, nobody can actually prove anything, many arguments that don’t agree as good as the next. Of course, those of you who get your theology from the likes of Hollywood, if Mel Gibson says Aramaic, it’s got to be true. After all, the plethora of stories on BIN that read like bad Star Trek scripts are true, right?

As somebody once said, there’s a mountain more historical proof of Jesus Christ’s existence than Julius Caesar, many eyewitness accounts, in complete agreement, consciousness of truth in the accounts, accounts that would hold up in any court of law. Also, there’s no historical refutation of that record in the Bible, as you point out, the Jewish enemies of Christ not having any problem with the reality of His existence, rather His very existence the thorn they perceived in their sides: His enemies at least testified to His existence and His pesky miracles nobody could argue with their “lying eyes” over, going as far as to even try to explain away His miracles, His power, in the most clumsy of tongue-tied ways. It was never Jesus didn’t do things things, it was He did these things by the devil, His enemies great witnesses that He did, indeed, display the power of God. They didn’t even refute His resurrected body missing from the tomb, when the Roman soldiers reported this to the religious hierarchy, rather felt the need to concoct an explanation somebody stole the body,

      Matthew 28

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

Here you had scared Roman soldiers who had to be paid a lot of money to go along with the stolen body lie, as they failed to guard the body, despite a large stone sealing the tomb. (Like anybody was going to sneak in and steal the body, in the first place? Moving a huge stone wouldn’t wake anybody up, were it a matter of some natural event? So very lame a story.)

You have nothing but, in the entire Biblical account of the Lord Jesus, a narrative that is complete keeping with what people in the many situations would actually do. Jesus Christ would have been convicted of being God in the flesh, in any court of law, based on all rules of evidence that convict many people every day, people convicted with only a small fraction of the same such evidence, even convicted on one credible witness, the narrative of Jesus Christ replete with many witnesses, that record unrefuted in His time, and completely credible the psychology of the characters involved, reactions and consciousnesses affirming the truths of the events.

The irony is Christianity is based on the Greek version of Mithraism, Dionysus, who was into turning water into wine. Their sacrament being basically a piss up in a brewery, for which Christianity has failed to organise.

“As somebody once said, there’s a mountain more historical proof of Jesus Christ’s existence …”

False, not only is there zero evidence he existed but shed loads of evidence that proves it to be plagiarised Mithraism.

Meet the real Jesus-Dionysus-Ysus-Jesus, dying on the cross, c400 BCE ancient Greece. Dionysus is the Greek version of Mithraism, which is where most of the bible’s scripture originates. A jovial character with a love of the vine, and turning water into wine.

Jesus spoke Aramaic, they all did. Educated people would have also known Latin and Greek, Greece being where the Libraries of Alexandria were was the worlds learning centre and knowledge base at that time. Hebrew is basically pidgeon Egyptian, the OT being mostly CE Greek with Genesis being a greatly abbreviated version of the Sumerian creation epic, translated into Hebrew, picked up when the Israelites were taken captive into Babylon. The NT is mostly CE Greek and Aramaic.
