Man Loses Pulse for 45 Minutes, Wakes Up With Incredible Vision of Afterlife

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

A trucker in Ohio shocked hospital staff after coming back to life nearly an hour after he lost his pulse following a massive heart attack — but it’s what he claims to have seen during those tense moments that has him sure there’s an afterlife.

Brian Miller, 41, was opening the lid of a container when he knew something felt wrong — he immediately called 911 and told the operator, “I’m a truck driver and I think I’m having a heart attack.”

Sure enough, his main artery was completely blocked — causing what’s known as a “widow-maker” heart attack

He was rushed to a local hospital where doctors managed to revive him and clear the blockage, but after regaining consciousness and feeling the pain dissipate, he developed ventricular fibrillation, when the heart starts quivering wildly and is unable to pump blood.

“He had no heart rate, he had no blood pressure, he had no pulse,” said ICU nurse Emily Bishop. “I mean think about that.”

Doctor’s performed “strong, hard, fast CPR” and shocked Miller four times to try to revive him, but had no luck.

It was during that time that Miller said he slipped away into a celestial world, “The only thing I remember I started seeing the light, and started walking toward the light.”

He described walking down a flower-lined path into white light — until he came upon his step mother, who had died recently, “She was the most beautiful thing when I seen her, it was like the first day I met her, (she) looked so happy.”

Miller remembered, “She grabbed ahold of my arm and told me, ‘It’s not your time, you don’t need to be here, we’ve got to take you back you’ve got things to go and do.’”

After 45 minutes his pulse returned “out of nowhere,” Bishop said.  ”His brain had no oxygen for 45 minutes, the fact that he’s up walking, talking, laughing, everything is amazing.”

Glad to be back amongst the living, Miller now says there is one thing he is sure of, “There is an afterlife and people need to believe in it, big time.”

      Paranormal Stories;
According to God’s word, the Bible, NO AFTERLIFE EXISTS. ONLY false religion teaches such nonsense. The false counterfeit copies of the ORIGINAL Christianity, as Jesus taught it in the first century, known as the sects or denominations of Christendom, ARE NOT CHRISTIAN. They ALL have many elements of PAGANISM in their beliefs and teachings, and false translations of God’s word. The KJV BEING THE VERY WORST OF THEM. The Catholic Church is the FIRST such false Christianity, and ALL OTHERS follow them and follow their pagan beliefs. God’s word, an ACCURATE translation of it says about death:
Gen. 3:19: “In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Eccl. 9:10: “All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol [“the grave,” KJ, Kx; “the world of the dead,” TEV], the place to which you are going.”
Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”
Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts [“thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “all his thinking,” NE; “plans,” RS, NAB] do perish.”
Ezek. 18:4: “The soul [“soul,” RS, NE, KJ, Dy, Kx; “man,” JB; “person,” TEV] that is sinning—it itself will die.”
Isa. 53:12: “He poured out his soul [“soul,” RS, KJ, Dy; “life,” TEV; “himself,” JB, Kx, NAB] to the very death.” (Compare Matthew 26:38.)
See also the main headings “Soul” and “Spirit.”
What about reports made by persons who were revived after being reported to be dead and who spoke of another life?
Normally, after a person stops breathing and the heartbeat ceases, it is several minutes before gradual cessation of the life-force in the body cells begins. If the body is subjected to severe cold, that process can be delayed for hours. For this reason, it is sometimes possible to revive persons by means of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. They were what is termed “clinically dead,” but their body cells were still alive.
Many persons revived from “clinical death” remember nothing. Others report experiencing a floating sensation. Some say they saw beautiful things; others were terrified by their experience.
Is there a medical explanation for any of these experiences?
The medical editor of The Arizona Republic wrote: “When physical prowess is at its lowest ebb, as under anesthesia, or the result of disease or injury, automatic control of bodily functions diminishes accordingly. Thus, the neurohormones and catecholamines of the nervous system are released and pour out in uncontrolled quantity. The result, among other manifestations, is the hallucination, rationalized after returning to consciousness, of having died and returned to life.”—May 28, 1977, p. C-1; also the German medical journal Fortschritte der Medizin, No. 41, 1979; Psychology Today, January 1981.
But is not the testimony of those who were revived confirmed by persons to whom deceased loved ones have appeared and spoken?
Read again, please, the scriptures quoted earlier regarding the condition of the dead. What is God’s Word of truth telling us about the condition of the dead?
Who wants humans to believe otherwise? After Jehovah warned our first parents that disobedience would bring death, who contradicted that? “The serpent [used by Satan; see Revelation 12:9] said to the woman: ‘You positively will not die.’” (Gen. 3:4) Later, of course, Adam and Eve did die. Reasonably, then, who invented the idea that a spirit part of man survives the death of the body? As we have already seen, this is not what God’s Word says. God’s law to ancient Israel condemned as “unclean” and “detestable” the practice of consulting the dead. (Lev. 19:31; Deut. 18:10-12; Isa. 8:19) Would a God of love condemn this practice if the living were simply communicating with loved ones who had departed? On the other hand, if demonic spirits were impersonating the dead and misleading mankind by conveying to their minds impressions that would perpetuate a lie, would it not be loving on God’s part to safeguard his servants against such deception?—Eph. 6:11, 12.

So you see, WE HAVE NO IMMORTAL SOUL, we ARE a living soul THAT DIES. Nothing remains after our death, no one goes to heaven or to a fictitious hell of fire and torment, it DOESN’T EXIST.

      • Josie

According to God’s word life after death does exist. Daniel 12:2, Matt. 25:46, Isaiah 66:24, and there are more. I had much rather believe in God and die and find out there is no God, than not believe and die find out there is. Because you are an atheist does not give you the right to infringe on other people’s beliefs. I believe in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and that Jesus died for me and three days later arose from the dead to show that those who believe in him shall not die but have everlasting life. Much Love, God Bless

        • Mike

          JoAnn;
That’s completely wrong. Daniel 12: 2 And many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up, some to everlasting life and others to reproach and to everlasting contempt.
This says that they will wake up, AFTER THEY’RE RESURRECTED. It doesn’t say they’re STILL ALIVE IN SOME WAY. We have NO IMMORTAL SOUL as God’s word says in many ways.

Matthew 25:46 These will depart into everlasting cutting-off, but the righteous ones into everlasting life.”
This scripture tells us that those who didn’t help Jesus’ co-heirs, members of the 144,000, they didn’t help Jesus. They will experience Gehenna, the SECOND DEATH, which means no resurrection after Armageddon. The righteous ones (the 144,000, the ONLY ones to ever go to heaven, after being TRANSFORMED into spirit beings like angels, God, Jesus) and their associates and helpers on Earth, while the remnant were alive will experience everlasting life. The 144,000 in heaven, the associates of them, the great crowd or great flock, will live forever in paradise Earth after Armageddon. Religions don’t teach this because it would destroy a LOT of their false teachings, but it IS in God’s word. Rather, it’s in an ACCURATE translation of God’s word, since it’s in the ORIGINAL SCROLLS. I’ve translated many of them, and they say MANY THINGS not found in Bibles like the KJV, NIV, SAV, and most others.

No, God’s word says clearly there IS NO LIFE AFTER DEATH, except for the two resurrections promised. No immortal soul exists, ACCORDING TO GOD’S WORD. No going to heaven (unless you’re the 144,000) and no going to hell, which is ONLY the common grave of mankind. A hell of fire and torment DOESN’T EXIST. It has ALWAYS been a PAGAN belief, NOT CHRISTIAN. Christendom isn’t Christian. What Jesus taught in the first century IS CHRISTIAN. No sect of Christendom even remotely matches what Jesus taught, and NONE OF THEM teach God’s word in it’s entirety, OR accurately. They even use falsely translated Bibles. The KJV has almost 20,000 DELIBERATE ERRORS. It has hundreds of added spurious (fictitious) texts. It has God’s PERSONAL name removed 7,210 times. The same name God COMMANDS us to use constantly. The Catholic bible has apocryphyl books ADDED to it, that were not inspired by God. If you search carefully, the book of Revelation, you can see that God said that adding ANYTHING to His word, or taking away ANYTHING, or CHANGING anything, makes you His ENEMY.

      • Ugly

Not even worth trying to explain. This is like explaining astrophysics to a tribe making contact with civilization for the first time. I had quotes out of the bible to support my argument but what good would that do? You haven’t read the bible. In addition, you haven’t experienced anything in life worth merit that would be worthy of an afterlife or give you any kind of contact with a higher being.
Some people just are not worthy. So with that said, why would I invest more energy in to you if no other type of entity feels you are worthy?

    • Mick

The supernatural certainly exists as many people who have had frightening experiences can testify, but the Christian religion doesn’t account for ghosts (spirits of the ancestors), the ghosts of animals or elementals (nature spirits; the little people; goblins, elves etc).

The Russians say the little people have haunted mankind since he first left the trees and moved into caves. Folklorists believe these spirits could be the souls of stillborn children, undiscovered murder victims who had no funeral rites etc.

There is one belief system that does account for these types of spirits and I think the pagans were closer to the truth.

      • Mike

        Mick;
the Bible teaches that we do NOT HAVE AN IMMORTAL SOUL. GHOSTS DO NOT EXIST. What all people have always believed were ghosts were nothing more than demons. The third of the angels who sided with Satan, and who were ejected from heaven along with Satan.

And I assure you, pagans are NOT even remotely close to ANY truths. ALL of the so called gods of pagandom ARE FICTITIOUS. They ARE NOT REAL. They’re made of stone, wood, molten metal, and other man made things. There ARE NO SPIRITS OF ANCESTORS, no ghosts, no ghosts of animals, no nature spirits, and the so called little people, govlins, elves and etc., are demons. Former angels. God created EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS, and He created none of the things you’ve listed.

I can’t believe anyone with even the I.Q. of a gnat would believe in those things. TOTALLY ABSURD!!!

        • cpovet

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son. That whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (taught by Jesus/Yeshua)

“Everlasting life” – Please explain that.

And since Jesus/Yeshua died on the cross, are you saying that He isn’t alive and sits at the Fathers right hand?

Strong’s Old Testament Hebrew dictionary definition for Spirit.
H7307 ruach, Pronounced roo’-akh. From H7306; wind; by resemblance breath, that is, a sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively life, anger, unsubstantiality; by extension a region of the sky; by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being (including its expression and functions): – air, anger, blast, breath, X cool, courage, mind, X quarter, X side, spirit ([-ual]), tempest, X vain, ([whirl-]) wind (-y).

Strong’s New Testament Greek dictionary definition for Spirit.
G4151 pneuma, Pronounced pnyoo’-mah. From G4154; a current of air, that is, breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively a spirit, that is, (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, daemon, or (divine) God, Christ’s spirit, the Holy spirit: – ghost, life, spirit (-ual, -ually), mind. Compare G5590.

A person’s soul is just simply a living breathing creature. Have you heard the expression; I went to the park and there wasn’t a soul there? A soul just simply means a person and is who and what you are.

Strong’s Old Testament Hebrew dictionary definition for Soul.
H5315 nephesh, Pronounced neh’-fesh. From H5314; properly a breathing creature, that is, animal or (abstractly) vitality; used very widely in a literal, accommodated or figurative sense (bodily or mental).
            In the Beginning

Genesis 2:7 God formed Adam into “a living soul.”
Genesis 2:16-17 God warned that if Adam sinned, he would “surely die.”
Genesis 3:4 The serpent said, “you will not surely die.”
Genesis 3:19 Because of sin, man will return to dust.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 Death is creation of a living soul in reverse. We return to dust “and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
Job 27:3 The spirit of God does not live in our nose! This is referring to the breath of life from God.
Genesis 3:22-24 God did not want Adam and Eve after sin to take from “the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.” So He drove them out of Paradise. Therefore no sinner will naturally “live forever” apart from Jesus Christ.
Genesis 5:5 After Adam lived 930 years, then “he died.”
            The Soul is Not Immortal

Job 4:17 The Bible calls man mortal.
Revelation 16:3 “Every living soul died in the sea.” Souls can die.
Ezekiel 18:4 God said, “The soul that sins, it shall die.” Again, the soul can die!
Exodus 1:5 “Seventy souls” went to Egypt. Souls are people.
Acts 2:41 “Three thousand souls” were baptized. Again, souls are people.
1 Peter 3:20 “Eight souls were saved” in Noah’s day. Again, souls are people.
1 Timothy 6:16 God “only has immortality.” Man is not immortal.
2 Timothy 1:10 “Immortality” comes only “through the gospel.”
Romans 2:7 Christians “seek for immortality.”
1 Corinthians 15:53 At the end, “this mortal” shall “put on immortality.”
            Death is a Sleep

Job 14:12 The dead “shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep” until “the heavens be no more.”
Psalms 13:3 “Lest I sleep the sleep of death.”
Daniel 12:2 “Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake.”
Acts 7:60 When Stephen died, “he fell asleep.”
John 11:11-14 “Lazarus sleeps … Jesus spoke of his death.”
            1 Corinthians 11:30; 15:6, 18, 51 Paul said death was “sleep.”
1 Thessalonians 4:13-16 Those “which sleep in Jesus” will be resurrected.
Do the dead haunt their house?

Job 7:10 The dead “shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.”
            The Dead are Unconscious

Psalms 115:17 “The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.”
Psalms 146:4 When a man dies, “in that very day his thoughts perish.”
Ecclesiastes 9:5 “The dead know not anything.”
Ecclesiastes 9:10 “There is no work… nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave.”
Jesus Christ Taught the Resurrection of the Dead

Matthew 22:23, 29 Jesus rebuked those who said there was “no resurrection.”
Matthew 22:31 Jesus taught “the resurrection of the dead.”
Luke 14:14 The saints will “be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.”
John 5:28-29 “All who are in their graves” will be resurrected at the second coming of Christ.
John 6:39, 40, 44, 54 All believers will rise “on the last day.”
John 11:24 Martha said to Jesus, “I know that he [Lazarus] shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
The Death and Resurrection of Jesus

Matthew 16:21 Jesus would “be killed, and be raised again on the third day.”
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 “Christ died … was buried … he rose again.”
Matthew 28:7 The angel said, “he is risen from the dead.”
Revelation 1:18 Jesus “was dead,” but is now “alive for evermore.”
Revelation 2:8 Jesus “was dead, and is alive.”

            cpovet;
Everlasting life refers to the period of time AFTER judgement day, which is the thousand year period AFTER the battle of Armageddon. It refers to those who God protected during the tribulation, and the final battle because they always did the ENTIRE WILL OF GOD before the trib and final battle. It also refers to SOME of those who God promises to resurrect after Armageddon. He said He will give us “new scrolls”, that the ones protected, are to teach to the resurrected ones. IF the protected ones, known as the “great crowd” and the “great flock”, and those who are taught after their resurrection, learn and OBEY those new scrolls completely, they will have everlasting life AFTER the thousand years. In other words, they will NEVER DIE. Remember, the scriptures say “death will be no more”, nor will sorrow, pain, sickness, sadness, or unrighteousness (not obeying God). EVERYONE who has disobeyed God and NOT repented will have been permanently destroyed in the final battle and the tribulation, and they WILL NOT BE RESURRECTED. Nor will anyone who died in the Great Flood of Noah’s day. If you died as a judgement, that’s it. That was your judgement. His word says that the penalty for sin is DEATH. No other punishment, ever, just death. No hell or hellfire, since hell means “the common grave of mankind”. It’s RELIGIONS who teach otherwise, NOT GOD’S WORD.

Jesus is a mighty spirit being. He IS alive, in heaven, sitting on his throne, as King of the Kingdom of Heaven. Remember, the scriptures say Jesus was RESURRECTED. He ascended to heaven 40 days later AS A SPIRIT BEING that he was BEFORE being born to Mary. When God created Jesus countless billions of years ago, he wasn’t human, he was a spirit being, and he is the same spirit being today. He was only human for 33.5 years, and then he was murdered, by apostate Jews, over money. It’s all in God’s word, the bible.

Hell yeah Adoni, Yahweh, Elohim those are all the same one god, not three gods combined into one by the Greeks who wrote the Bible to pretend Judaism is monotheistic , oh and the trinity that sounds pretty pagan, worshiping three gods.

And if other religions had no truth why did King Cyrus the great, free the Jews from Babylon and instruct them to rebuild the temple, he worshiped Ahura Mazda of the Zoroastrian faith just like the Magi who show up at the nativity of Christ. Me thinks you’re main source of info isn’t the bible but the teachings of men, who have lied to you about Christ at every turn. Blind guides man, blind guides. read Matthew 23 brother, take heed of the words of Christ and live accordingly or don’t it’s not my life.

same thing happened to me many years ago now and YES I can tell you people the end is NOT the end but the start.

I spent a couple of days watching every near death experience (NDE) testimony on YouTube. The most notable examples I saw were Mickey Robinson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcOvWGuQTow and Howard Storm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRk9_dK7Quo

    • Pumpkin

There are several recorded instances of blind from birth people having NDE, and they can see during them. No oxygen deprivation can do that. Don’t just write these off.

      • Damien

Lots of blind people can see. Their visual cortexes are just busted and so usually cant process what they see. Emotional experiences like a slining or a sad face can get through to awareness by other neural pathways though.

    • Josefin

Mike; I’m also interested what you think about Jesus being alive today, and sitting on our Fathers right hand..? Would you like to comment on that, please?

Are you a jehova witness, Mike?

      • Mike

        Josefin;
See my reply above to cpovet about Jesus sitting at the right hand of God, and yes, I am one of those who witness for God. We are ALL commanded to be such, but so very few ever do it.

        • ladc

Just going to add my bit. Mike, you do not have the Holy spirit indwelling you, therefore every single scripture you quoted was interpreted through your mind, which is of the flesh and is against God. Until you are willing to submit to God and allow the Holy spirit to teach you and indwell you, you are dead in your sins and the Scriptures are dead to you.

          • Mike

            ladc;
Of course not. NO ONE has God’s holy spirit “indwelling” in them. It’s IMPOSSIBLE. Absolutely NO SCRIPTURE I quoted was “interpreted”. I obey God in that interpretation belongs ONLY TO HIM. We are NOT to EVER interpret ANY scripture for any reason. God says they ALL stand on their own merit. Submit to God? Are you daft? I am a DEDICATED slave and servant and minister of God. There is no greater submission to Him. Holy spirit doesn’t teach, God does, USING His holy spirit. No scripture is “dead to me” either. Where do you come up with this senseless, rediculous, and FALSE drivel you posted? Are you one of those who watch these tv evangelists or something? All a bunch of kooks. Are you one who submits to FALSE RELIGIONS known as the sects of Christendom? And do you submit to a FALSE TRANSLATION such as the KJV? It CERTAINLY APPEARS SO. You should reject ALL of those rediculous and false things, and stick ONLY to God and to His INSPIRED WORD. An ACCURATE translation of them. OR, learn how to translate from original texts yourself. God admonishes ALL to “flee” from false religion, or share in her plagues and punishments, since her sins pile up to the heavens.

Judging by his picture on the site linked to the story Mr. Miller’s heart condition couldn’t have been that much of a surprise to anyone. It’s unbelievable that he didn’t suffer any brain damage being without oxygen for so long. Hopefully he takes this second chance as an opportunity to improve his health with diet and exercise and I wish him many healthy years to come.

      Been there. It’s for real…….

    • EruditeOne

At age 18, when I was young and stupid, I decided alcohol was worth drinking and consumed enough to make me drunk. I thought that since I decided not to be driving I was making a prudent decision. Unfortunately for me I was riding as a passenger in an automobile being driven by a drunk friend. Our automobile experienced a 45+ MPH head-on collision. I was ejected from the automobile, severely injured, I was later told an office who appeared on the scene had placed his hand on my chest to get me to lay down only to have his hand dissapear into my chest as he pressed me downward. There were about 7 people (self included) in the car all had injuries, however, I had injuries equal to each of the individual injuries experienced by the 6 other passengers and driver. I was placed in St. Paul Ramsey Hosiptal intensive care ward where I remained for about 6 weeks. I very nearly died that night. I don’t really remember much of that experience but firmly believe Yawej exists and that Hae has plans for me in His afterlife. Since that day of December 21, 1970 I have been comforted in my belief theat He interjected and let me live. Since that day I set my mind that under no circumstances would I end my life by suicide. Since that automible accident I’ve had numerous times where I’ve had very difficult times which may have cause people to end their lives with suicide, but since I’d decided at age 18 I’d never end my own life I continue to live and look forward to what Yaweh has planned for me. Now, at age 65 I see we are at the end of the age and will soon see what Yaweh has in store for those of use who refuse to accept or tolerate Satan and his plans for the battle before Yeshua returns in the clouds. I expect Yeshua will return within the next 10 years and hope He returns sooner.
