Our Christian Assurance of Salvation is not achieved through the reciting of Bible verses, nor does it come automatically once a confession of faith is made. Our Assurance of Salvation is through Christ Jesus, who is our Salvation. Words can not adequately explain the Holy Spirit, that brings to life the Word of God, enlightening and transforming our minds to receive the revelation of Christ’s truth . It is only through the Baptism of the holy Spirit, that we can truly have the hope and Assurance of Salvation, unto the day of redemption at our Saviors Glorious Second coming.
Isaiah 25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
For the Christian Assurance Of Salvation in Christ Jesus, is when we are Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise unto our inheritance of eternal life with Him.
John 3:5-6 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
The experience unto the Assurance of Salvation, is a remarkable life changing journey. It begins when we are truly able to hear the Words of Jesus Christ, and Christ’s salvation scripture becomes implanted in our minds for the first time. Our Faith, Hope and Love all come by Hearing the Living Word. When the Spirit of Truth dwells in us, we can then begin to understand the Gospel message, and the peace of God which passeth all understanding. So then for the Christian Assurance of Salvation is not that we are presently saved. It is however a genuine knowledge, that if we endure until the end we shall be saved (Mathew 10:2).
Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Even true Faith, which is a Christian concept, is a gift from God. Faith is an important part of our Assurance of Salvation.
1 Thess 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Many claim to have faith, but the truth of the matter is that only Christians really can claim true Faith, as it is only through Christ that this precious gift is given, whereby one can be certain of their purpose and destiny, and have the full Assurance of Salvation. It is only through Christ that we can have the true Spirit of Faith (2 Cor 4:13). All others have a worldly faith that can easily be shattered, that is based upon illusions and deceit. Hearing the Word of God and realizing that it is a very powerful living testimony of Christ unto the Assurance of Salvation, starts a transformation process. As we joyfully and diligently labor in the scriptures they enter our mind and heart. Soon our study and prayer time becomes a labor of love, as great joy and wonder overwhelm our senses.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
As we start to trust and believe the truth in the Word of salvation scripture our faith gets stronger and submitting to Jesus becomes easier. When we allow Him to become the Lord and focus of our lives a dynamic, intimate and lasting relationship that cannot easily be severed blossoms. Jesus is the hope and our Redeemer, and through His Spirit our hope becomes our Assurance of Salvation.
Once we are sealed, we realize that nothing can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus; this Baptism of the Holy Spirit wherein Jesus resides in us, is when we are born again. The infilling of the believer with the Spirit of God is the down payment (or earnest) that Christ gives to His chosen, that He has purchased with His blood upon the cross.
2 Cor 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
The completion of His contract with us is to be fully realized and received at His second coming. This is when the Christian Assurance of Salvation is revealed, and implemented.
Luke 21:27-28 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Therefore the evidence that the Spirit resides within us is that we are no longer self centered, self righteous, or fearful. Deception and confusion regarding the Assurance of Salvation, and what transpires when we are Born Again, become a thing of the past. Love, through bearing others burdens, and making a difference in the lives of those around us brings great joy, and becomes a labor of Love. Materialistic items such as fancy cars or houses, no longer have any hold on us, as the only treasure we seek is everlasting Life in Christ. The love of this present evil world, is replaced with a longing to be with Jesus, wherein we will put aside our sinful flesh and be clothed with righteousness (Isa 61:10; 1 Cor 15:53). This all happens naturally when you grow in the Spirit, the more you press into the spirit the more you will receive to give out.
Many misguided people who do not have the Assurance of Salvation, ask the question,” Can I lose my Salvation”? If you have ever wondered if you could lose your Salvation, you can rest assured that the answer is without any doubt, absolutely not!
But through the Holy Spirit you can have full Assurance of Salvation. Every time that salvation, redemption or resurrection of the believer is mentioned in salvation scripture it is always referred to in the future tense. The reason is that only upon Christ’s return to earth can this redemptive process take place.
One of the problems with Christianity today is that most have no hope. In fact few even understand the meaning of the word. How can you hope for something you claim to already possess?
1 Pet 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
You can not discuss the hope that you do not have, because of the assurance of Salvation that you claim to already possess, as opposed to the knowledge of one day receiving it. Many deceived souls accept the false teaching of having the assurance of Salvation by works, when they claim to be saved now by the words they speak. They do not have the hope of the rewards promised to be given at the end of this age, and therefore they miss out on an incredible journey. This is one of the greatest lies ever taught to the masses; it also parallels a similar condition that Jesus encountered with the false teachers of that time. Basing the assurance of salvation on works, whether it be through words or deeds, is self-righteousness, and it is a deadly and empty false doctrine.
Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
According to salvation scriptures, we gain access to His Grace and Mercy by Faith through His Spirit, with a blessed Assurance of Salvation. Our redemption from the sinful flesh and our gathering together unto Him, at the last day both occur at the same time. This is what motivates us, gives us a sure hope and allows us to produce works that are approved and acceptable through the Holy Spirit.
