The Discovery of Moses' Red Sea Crossing

The following year, Ron and his two sons went scuba diving at that site and they found a large column in the water there; and they immediately suspected that the column had marked the spot where the Israelite’s had crossed the Red Sea, but someone had pushed it over and it was now lying flat in the water. So they went scuba diving strait out from there and they found the remains of chariot wheels in the water there on their first dive; and by confirming the Red Sea crossing site Ron was then able to conclude without a doubt that the real Mount Sinai must be over in Saudi Arabia in Median. A place called “Jabel el Lawz” Which translated means “The Mountain of the Laws.” This is exactly where the Apostle Paul says Mt. Sinai is in Galatians 4:25, “For this Agar isMount Sinai in Arabia.”

When Pharaoh heard that Moses had killed one of his soldiers who was beating a Hebrew slave, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian. It was 40 years later in Midian where the Angel of the Lord “Jesus Christ” appeared to Moses in a Burning Bush.

And by the discovery of the remains of ancient Egyptian army chariots scattered over a mile and a half lying at the bottom of an underwater land bridge connecting Sinai to Saudi Arabia suggesting that a large army must have perished on the site in a dramatic way, which corroborates the biblical account of how the Egyptian army was destroyed by the returning waters that Moses had parted. 

Also the fact that these dried up river beds winding through the mountains had carried such large amounts of desert dust, mud, and sand washed down from the mountains by seasonal rainfall, that it had filled in the Gulf of Aqaba creating a natural flat sand bar land bridge from one side of the Red Sea to the other, with the water dropping down to over 1500 m. deep on either side of this bridge. Even with the waters parted it would have been nearly impossible for the Israelite’s with their flocks and herds to climb down and then back up the other side of the Red Sea, had this land bridge not been there.

The depth of the water and the steep canyon walls would have made it impossible for a crossing to have taken place anywhere else with the exception of the shallow land bridge at Nuweiba. If the waters were to be removed, it would still be impossible to cross this chasm which is as deep and as wide as the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

The Bible says that Pharaoh took 600 of his chosen chariots along with all the chariots of Egypt and pursued after the children of Israel. 

Exodus 14:19to31 “And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. 

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians; And took off their chariot wheels, that they drove them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians. 

And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it, and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. 

But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left. Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore. And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and his servant Moses.

And the Lord said unto Moses, “Stretch out thin hand over the sea that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.” 
  

Ron Wyatt and his sons had returned to the Middle East to get some of the chariot wheels out of the bottom of the Red Sea. Ron and his sons were diving at a depth of about 30 ft. deep and he thought that the water would filter out the sun’s harmful rays; however this was not the case and as a result his legs and feet became so painfully sunburn that he could not get his diving equipment and fins on. Unable to dive anymore, and with no motel in the area, Ron and his sons had no choice but to return to Jerusalem to do some sightseeing for a few days while they wait until their flight from Tel Aviv left for the US.
