Bible Verse of the Day

Bible Verse of the Day

Matthew 4:4

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Verses 1-11 cover Satan tempting Jesus Christ in the wilderness. In verse 3 Satan told Christ to turn stones to bread and we are given Christ’s response in this 4th verse.

What Christ was explaining to Satan and you is we cannot truly live on bread alone. Yes, “bread” will sustain our flesh bodies, but eventually we will die of old age and if you do not have the Word of God, if you did not adhere to His Word you do not have Life. Eternal Life that is.

The point is our walk in the flesh is like a blink of the eye. Ask someone with gray hair how fast life goes by and they will tell you. Enjoy your walk in the flesh, but love and honor our Heavenly Father while you do and it will reap everlasting life in a Paradise of Peace. A Paradise you can inherit (Revelation 21:7).
