INTRODUCTION: Recent teachings by Messianic Rabbis have given the Body of Christ revealed knowledge. It is exciting. Today we will explore the fourth cup of wine consumed during the Last Supper, a Passover meal (Exodus 12:43), which was performed by the Messiah with his disciples.  He was reminding them that the fourth cup was a BETROTHAL covenant.  The Catholic and Protestants use the scriptures of the Passover cup in their Communion ceremonies, but unfortunately this cup is given pagan meanings.  Should one continue to use a Tradition that places one in opposition to the Creator, or should one learn, discern, and turn?

Revelation 18:4

I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;

FIRST: In 100 A.D., the Christians were deceived. One example of the Roman perversion from Hebrew to pagan is the Christian Easter celebration. It is directly tied to the Roman Goddess Ishtar. No excuse, theology, or rationale can wipe away the horrible offensive Easter behavior used in the Christian churches.

SECOND: There are excellent lectures by highly educated men that offer documented evidence to prove how the early Gentile church leaders in 100 A.D. changed from the Hebraic customs of the Messiah over to the Roman pagan practices. The Roman Emperor contracted with the Gentile Christian leaders to effectively derail the Hebraic law. The Body of Christ…the Church… is no longer using the mandated Feast Days, nor following the Ten Commandments.  The Messiah said those says remains in full force and effect.

Matthew 5:17

[Jesus said] “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.

THIRD: All of the Christian holidays align with the Roman pagan worship days. They include SUN-day, Solstice (Dec 25), Goddess Ishtar (Easter) Day, etc. The Holy Roman Empire was…and is today… the continuation of pagan practices under Roman law, from which came “Ecclesiastical law”. The pagan Roman Vatican created “incorporation”, and all corporations that use Contract Law are bound to the Vatican via Ecclesiastical law. POINT: One must know what is from Rome, and what is from the LORD God. One’s eternal energy is involved.

Example:
(Quote from wikipedia) The Star of Ishtar or Star of Inanna is a symbol of the ancient Sumerian goddess Inanna and her East Semitic counterpart Ishtar. Alongside the lion, it was one of Ishtar’s primary symbols. Because Ishtar was associated with the planet Venus, the star is also known as the Star of Venus

During later times, slaves who worked in Ishtar’s temples were sometimes branded with the seal of the eight-pointed star. On boundary stones and cylinder seals, the eight-pointed star is sometimes shown alongside the crescent moon, which was the symbol of Sin, god of the Moon, and the rayed solar disk, which was a symbol of Shamash, the god of the Sun.

The rosette was another important symbol of Ishtar which had originally belonged to Inanna. During the Neo-Assyrian Period, the rosette may have actually eclipsed the eight-pointed star and become Ishtar’s primary symbol. The temple of Ishtar in the city of Aššur was adorned with numerous rosettes.

(Quote from wikipedia )Inanna…was the ancient Sumerian goddess of love, beauty, sex, desire, fertility, war, combat, justice, and political power. She was later worshipped by the Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians under the name IshtarShe was known as the “Queen of Heaven” and was the patron goddess of the Eanna temple at the city of Uruk, which was her main cult center. She was associated with the planet Venus and her most prominent symbols included the lion and the eight-pointed star. Her husband was the god Dumuzid the Shepherd (later known as Tammuz) and her sukkal, or personal attendant, was the goddess Ninshubur (who later became the male deity Papsukkal).

FOURTH: What was the true meaning of the Passover cup of wine, which Jesus drank during his last Passover meal? It was a WEDDING BETROTHAL. The Roman pagan meaning used by the Church is of “eating flesh and drinking blood,” which is a false teaching. The pagan Holy Roman “belief system” was used to control armies, as the Vatican condemn men to Hell who failed to take communion each day. This perverted meaning is used today throughout all of Christendom, and it is dangerous to one’s eternal life.

Exodus 12:43

43The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the ordinance of the Passover: no foreigner is to eat of it;

… 7. Four Cups of Wine to be offered during the Seder service: one at Kiddush, one following the recital of the first part of the Hallel, one after Grace and one at the conclusion of the Seder. These four cups symbolize the four-fold promise of redemption which, according to the Bible, God pledged to Israel:
(1) “I will bring you forth,” (Exodus 6:6):
(2) “I will deliver you,” (ibid).
(3) “I will redeem you,” (ibid) and
(4)
“I will take you” (
Exodus 6:7).

FIFTH: The fourth cup of wine in the Passover meal is the betrothal of the nation of Israel, and her adopted Sons and Daughters, to the soon coming Bridegroom. Study the following accounts about the Jewish custom of betrothal, which are a covenant agreement that is sealed with cup of wine and declarations. Of course, the Jewish men who were disciples of Jesus knew all about these meanings; the Gentiles did not.

… As the betrothal includes the blessings of the wine under the huppah, one of the last of Yeshua’s actions was to bless the cup of the New Covenant - the cup of the ketubah hbtk – that contract of marriage.

The Scripture points to the fact that we are betrothed to the Messiah – we are in that engagement period prior to the wedding:

  • As in any betrothal – the promise is so sure of our wedding that it would take a religious (get) divorce to nullify the contract.
  • This divorce (get) is only available to the husband.
  • This too is promised by God in Hosea 2:19-20 – He promises that He will betrothal His people to Himself – forever. Would God ever divorce His people – (Malachi 2:16) – certainly it is not in His character to divorce.
  • The lesson or implications are quite clear – we are secure in our Messiah’s contract with us – we cannot break it – and He promises that He will not break it – (Jn. 10:28).

… Where is the Matan – or bridal gift of love from Messiah – if indeed we are His betrothed. Remember the word Matan means gift or pledge – in Greek the word is Charismata – gift. In (Eph 1:13-14) Paul tells us that this pledge or gift – is the Holy Spirit – a promise of love and that He will return for us.

But what of His bride – what is she to be doing? During this one year period – the bride would consecrate herself – and prepare holy garments for the upcoming marriage…

The final step in the wedding proces is called – Nissuin – the word commons from the Hebrew verb – hsn ( nasa) – which means , “to carry.” This is a graphic description – as the bride would be waiting for her groom to come – to carry her off to her new home…

… The first time that the betrothed saw each other, the groom paid a Mohar or bride-price (like the ring for modern marriage ceremonies) in full and declared in a loud voice, The price has been paid in full,” in front of the village.

The bride was very careful with that payment, not to loose the coins.

… Once the price had been payed by the bridegroom, a Ketubah or contract document (a covenant promise) was signed to record the agreed terms of the betrothal, that the groom would provide for the needs of the bride… during the one to two year waiting period.

The Ketubah was designed to protect the bride more than the groom. Once the Ketubah was signed, the bridegroom declared in a loud voice, “It is finished,” i.e., it is “paid in full.”

Once the Mohar was paid and the Ketubah was signed, there was a groom’s speech of promise. He would say, “I have to go, I’m going to prepare the Chuppah (bridal’s chamber), a place for you at my father’s house.” This tradition is kept even in our day. The groom went back to his father’s house to build an addition to the existing dwelling, where he would receive his wife in about one or two years. In modern Israel you can see many additions that have been made for this purpose.

The bride would then say, “Do not go,” and the groom would respond, “It is better for you that I’ll go but I will come back.”

“When?” she asked.

And the groom would respond, “ I do not know, nor the servant, only my father knows the day”.

Meanwhile the bridegroom prepared the Chuppah, and the bride had to be ready. The groom sent a chaperone or servant to keep an eye on her, to insure that she would be cared for and watchful for the return of the groom. This alertness was manifested at night, because usually the bridegroom would show up at midnight. She had to have her oil lamp burning all the time. The bride also had other virgins helping and serving her; they were also anticipating the wedding.

“While the groom builds the new home, the bride waits and wears a veil, and a head band with the coins. This shows she belongs only to the groom, she is no more available…

The coming of the bridegroom, Yeshua HaMashiah, for His bride to fulfill the “Nuptials” or Ceremony, began with the Nisuin which means “to lift up” or “carry”… Lifting up the bride was an ancient wedding custom wherein the bride was lifted by poles to the ceremony in a carriage. The Chuppah, or canopy, was not only related to the bridal chamber, but was also “lifted” by poles like the ancient carriage. The present custom of lifting the bride and groom in chairs is rooted in this processional…

The origin and meaning of baptism comes from the Torah itself; the meaning is “purification”. When the bride-to-be was immersed in the Mikva, she was considered a new creation with former sins wiped away; no one could remind her of her past again…

In the first century, when a immigrant or foreigner wanted to be part of the nation of Israel, they would go through a process of new “citizenship” in which they renounced their former nation, customs, idols, family, and past and then learned Judaism (based on the several schools or Yeshivas at the time of Jesus). Finally, they were seen by two witnesses as they went through the Mikva, symbolic of dying and being “born again”.

“The Wedding Garment: The Kittel is a white robe; it looks somewhat like a bathrobe. It is a garment worn at Passover. It is also warn by the Groom at a wedding. The word Kittel is rooted in the Hebrew word Katal – To Slay. A garment worn by priests during certain sacrifices such as Passover or Yom Kippur Sacrifice.”

“The groomsmen would run ahead of the groom, sound the Shofar (trumpet), and shout that he was coming. While the father’s head was turned, the groom would steal the bride. The wedding party then went back to the groom’s house to meet the guests.”

“The shared cup of wine is a simcha, joy, at a Jewish Wedding. When the bride drinks from the cup after the bridegroom it is a sign that she is accepting the covenant he has signed during the Ketubah signing.”

“New couple goes to the father’s home to begin married life.

SIXTH: The Prophet Isaiah made very clear when he wrote in the sixth Century B.C. that Israel is saved and reserved for the LORD God. The mandated celebration of the Passover was supposed to teach the nation of Israel who her Bridegroom is and always will be. This is a spiritual covenant, and no Man can tear it asunder.

Isaiah 45:17

Israel has been saved by the Lord
With an everlasting salvation;
You will not be put to shame or humiliated
To all eternity.

SEVENTH: What are the Hebrew holy days?

Exodus 20:8

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exodus 35:2

“For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.

Quote (wikipedia): The [Hebrew] weekdays start with Sunday (day 1, or Yom Rishon) and proceed to Saturday (day 7), Shabbat. … Observance in the Hebrew Bible was universally from sixth-day sundown to seventh-day sundown… on a seven-day week.

http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Introduction/introduction.html

“It was on Mount Sinai that God gave Moses the dates and observances of the seven feasts. Here are their names:

1. Passover (Pesach)
2. Unleavened Bread (Chag Homotzi)
3. First Fruits (Yom Habikkurim)
4. Pentecost (Shavu’ot)
5. Trumpets (Yom Teru’ah)
6. Atonement (Yom Kippur)
7. Tabernacles (Sukkot) ..
.”

CONCLUSION:   Many pastors are aware that that humans are in the “End of an Age,” which was prophesied and predicted for centuries. If the Body of Christ continues to operate in the realm of DECEPTION, and pretend that it has redemption under pagan Babylonian practices, then the Church will condemn itself. Lucifer’s job is much easier when men deceive themselves. Is that wise? Is that what the men and women, who call themselves “The Redeemed”, want to do? Will information bring them out of pagan Babylonian practices, and return them to the holy Feast days, as well as the mandated Sabbath (aka Saturday)?

The choice is very clear:   Obey or Obliterate.

Matthew 25:31-33, 41, 46

31[Jesus said] “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left…

41“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; … 46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Matthew 23:8 But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. (NASB)

Pharisaism became modern rabbinic Judaism; see Matthew 23: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+23&version=NASB

Modern Jerusalem, and by extension Israel, is Mystery Babylon; see /prophecy/2018/01/revelation-study-mystery-babylon-2-2496732.html

Despite all this, read Romans 11: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+11&version=NASB

Just take anything a “rabbi” says with a grain of salt. Regardless, this article is correct regarding assimilated paganism in modern Christian churches: /religion/2018/02/haderech-its-about-time-2539239.html

All churches follow their mother – the Catholic Church. A pagan church. That is why they worship the same Holydays of theirs. Christmass and Ishtar (Easter).

They even wear the same garbs and practice the same priestly rituals. Billions are DECEIVED.

    • Emery

It’s amazing that this article wasn’t censored. Most don’t like to hear the truth of the scriptures. They all prefer the lies taught by false religions of Christendom. Now you need to tell about the 12 day Saturna celebration to honor the Greek God Saturn.

It is not just the RCC that is “mystery Babylon”, it is ALL religions of Earth that any man had any hand in creating. Billions are indeed deceived, as “Satan is misleading the entire inhabited Earth”, and religions and falsely translated Bibles do most of the work for him. Take the KJV with it’s more than 20,000 DELIBERATE mistranslated words and added, spurious texts in it. And the dozens of English Bibles that are merely variations of the KJV. Remember, God didn’t inspire any “versions”, nor did He inspire any translations or interpretations, as He said “does not all interpretation belong to Me?”
