Mars rover Curiosity used its cameras to image a “rock” called “Rocknest 3”:

The “rock” is actually a concrete block as it shows minute round holes caused by air bubbles:

Concrete blocks are simply thicker concrete slabs. So, the object was a concrete block of 40 centimeters long and 10 centimeters tall.

Added on Aug. 5: No holes in natural rocks match those in concrete slabs.

There are eleven types of holes in natural rocks (see http://geology.about.com/od/geoprocesses/tp/Holes-In-Rocks.htm), none of which resembles the holes found on concrete slabs. Of the 11 types, the nearest type is called geologic vesicles, which exist only on rocks formed from lava. “Rocknest 3” did not form from lava and its texture is far from vesicular texture of igneous rocks (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vesicular_texture ).
