We today know that (class-)realism, like cladistics and particle physics, is wrong

When we humans began conceptualizing reality, our first choice was to decide whether reality is what we see or how we see it, ie, whether reaity is outside or inside of our heads. The former choice was called “nominalism” and the latter “(class-)realism”. One third of us joined the former, one third joined the latter, and one third couldn’t make up their minds. Since then, humanity has been split between these two fundamental options.

However, about a hundred years ago (1901) Bertrand Russell dealt a hard blow on the former’s theoretical foundation (ie, its choice to decide that reality is how we see it, or (class-)realism) by demonstrating that it leads to paradoxical contradiction, called Russell’s paradox. Four years later (1905) Albert Einstein added a hard blow on its practical implications by his special theory of relativity in that it predicted “time dilation”, ie, that moving clocks are measured to tick more slowly than an observer’s “stationary” clock, thus contradicting the former’s (ie, (class.)realisms’) axiomatic assumption that reality is how we see it - if reality indeed is how we see it, then it can’t differ between different observers, which Einstein’s theory thus, on the contrary, predicts it does. Einstein’s theoretical prediction has then (and before) been confirmed in numerous tests (see Wikipedia). Together these discoveries thus falsified the former option (ie, (ie, (class.)realism) both theoretically and practically.

However, in spite of this falsification, the former (ie, class-)realism) today reighns both biological systematics (into a vain search for a “true tree of life”) and particle physics (into a vain search for “Higg’s particle”). It is just as if we don’t understand what we know, that is, that there isn’t any “true tree of life” or “Higgs particle”, because if there would have been, then time dilation would have been wrong, which it isn’t.

It is it’s a good trait to have visions, but it is a better trait to understand when one’s visions are falsified by facts, because visions can’t defeat facts. And, fact is that we today know that (class-)realism, like cladistics and particle physics, is wrong. We just have to digest this fact. Never will we in any case find a true tree of life or Higgs paticle, because if we would, then time dilation would be wrong.
