On the impossibility of a single truth

A single true consistent conceptualization of reality (ie, excluding all other possible conceptualizations as false) has to solve one fundamental problem: to combine internal consistency (ie, avoidance of self-contradiction) with external consistency (ie, agreement with facts).

This problem is, however, insoluble, because internal consistency comes in two flavors: naive and axiomatic set theory, which facts cut across. This fact can be illustrated by the formula that speed equals distance per time unit (ie, v = d/t), which we all can agree on.

If a single object indeed HAS a speed (ie, in a certain moment), which we all also certainly can agree on, then the distance at this moment = 0, and the speed at this moment thus also = 0. So, our two agreements are thus contradictory, a contradiction we can only avoid by acknowledging a relative relation of one of these three parameters with regard to at least one of the other two.

Now, the two possible internal consistencies: naive and axiomatic set theory, either does not acknowledge a relative relation between any of the parameters at all (ie, naive set theory) or acknowledges a limitation (limes) between distance and time (ie, axiomatic set theory). External consistency, however, requires that we acknowledge a relative relation between time and speed, because fact is that time is relative to (with) speed.

Naive set theory is thus simply wrong, and the insolubility of this problem resides in that we can’t combine a limes between distance and time consistently with the factual relative relation between time and speed, because the existance of such a limes is contradicted by the factual relative relation between time and speed. The limes simply dissolves in light of the factual relative relation between time and speed.

A simpler explanation of this impossibility is that neither distance nor time can equal speed, because speed requires both distance and time. The relation between them is thus irreducible.  That is, a single true consistent conceptualization of reality (ie, excluding all other possible conceptualizations as false) is unreachable (ie, a void). There simply isn’t any single true consistent conceptualization of reality (ie, excluding all other possible conceptualizations as false).
