In the last decade, she has founded three creative businesses and served as co-founder of two startups. Eric Boam and Adam Pruden are the co-founders of Design Takes Flight, recently featured inWired Magazine. Drones are coming, and they are coming to stay. Soon they will be as ubiquitous as smartphones. There is already a mountain of practical uses for drones with more coming everyday. But so far there isn’t a unified user experience for the design and use of drones, especially as they relate to us as personal devices not unlike our smartphones. Adam and Eric propose a foundational framework for designing drones to be both useful and delightful.

Adam spent 2 years of research at MITs SENSEable City Lab leading several projects on human interaction with self-organizing micro helicopters and integrating the body into spatial media systems. His work has been featured in Wired, New York Times and TED.

Eric has become a thought leader in the data community and spends time thinking about and designing new ways to both collect and interpret data. His work has been featured on Wired, Fast Company, and CNN.

Dr. Chris Moore is a Technology Specialist at UK trade and Investment, working in the newly formed Tech City Investment Organisation. Prior to joining UKTI Chris was Director of Venture Capital and University Investments for Kodak (Europe), where he drove participation in major European R&D projects, and identified and assessed more than 200 early-stage technology company opportunities.

Sumit Vishwakarma is a big advocate of “Mobile Art” – the newest medium of creating art on the iPads, tablets and smart mobile phones. The touchscreen in today’s smart devices provides a great opportunity for creativity. He was featured speaker at Macworld 2013 ‘tech-talk’ and featured artist at Macworld sketch-station in 2012. His work has been showcased in several art galleries including the first Mobile Art Festival in Los Angles, Apple flagship store in San Francisco, Mobile Creativity & Innovation Symposium – NZ, Autodesk Sketchbook news, Macworld Digital Art gallery, iCreate magazine and other tech and art blogs including the popular “cult_of_mac”,TUAW and Digital Journal.
