Raffle Winner and Farm Update

The really nasty storm missed the farm but left golf ball sized hail and the damage that goes with it just a few miles northeast of us.  Very pleased it missed us… another round of freezing temperatures is due in here in a few days, going to last all of next week.  Yay Rah. 

Got the old ford tensioner pulley replaced and then Thursday, while trying to get the errands done before work (playing catch up as usual)  the old ford got a flat tire as I pulled into the water dept parking lot.  “SIGH”  yep, more headache and hassle.  Had to wake the son up to help so I wasn’t late for work and his lack of sleep almost made HIM late for work. Got called in to work 4 hours early yesterday and missed the darn 30 minute usps open time today.  ”SIGH”  It never ends here. 

Only 4 entries to the cammo afghan/crochet blanket raffle.  The winner is Kevin B from Iowa.  Congrats Kevin, barring any disasters around here,  your afghan will mail on Monday.

Also, a note to a couple people waiting on boxes,  I am sorry I can’t seem to hold it together here, I will make it to the post office asap.  Sometimes living rural is a disadvantage and that time seems to be now for me.

Still no seeds started here, with the huge storm coming, I thought it wise to wait til after with the 100mph winds predicted and large hail.  It’s hard enough keeping this place half way heated without storm damage on top of it and no sense starting seeds that will die….

On a good note, all the animals are doing fine.  I even found some happy rabbits in the barn, hopefully they are happy enough to make more rabbits for me   We will see in 29 days…..
