Study Shows The U.S. Is Not Preppared For A Cyberattack
According to BigThink, The United States is ready for terrorist attacks and natural disasters, according to a new report by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). But where the country falls short is cyberattack preparedness.
So, practically, we`re completely vulnerable to a digital war. Exactly the type of war that will most likely dominate any other kind in just a couple of decades. We are fully prepared for people carrying bombs and other weapons, but we`d have to sit and watch how a teen hacker enters our defense systems and knees the U.S. at the press of a few keys.
The report created by the Intelligence and National Security Alliance urges the U.S.to “rapidly increase development of cyber intelligence” (bigthink.com). But it`s just going to have to wait, because they`re busy approving drones to monitor citizens. Now, maybe Americans are not all geniuses that can make a hundred power plants explode in a matter of minutes… but they could be hiding rifles in their pants. So let`s keep a drone eye on that, alright?
