Two astrobiologists charge NASA killed Martian life with its space missions
Scientist Gilbert Levin insists his biology experiment proved life is in the Martian soil. Dirk Schulze-Makuch, an astrobiologist at Washington State University and his German colleague, Joop Houtkooper of Justus Liebig University charge NASA killed it.
Their explosive allegation—raised at the American Astronomical Society meeting in Seattle, Washington—raises one more doubt about the US space agency.

Scooped up and killed
When the Viking mission tested for life it detected hydrogen peroxide from oxidation. The two scientists claim the oxidation process didn’t come from the soil, but in the killing of Martian life scooped up and chemically destroyed by the robot space explorer.

The two have stirred up controversy—nothing new to NASA—with their report alleging the death of Martian life.
“It is interesting to note that the Viking experiments were conducted under too warm and wet conditions from the perspective of the hydrogen peroxide hypothesis for Martian life,” they concluded in their in-depth report. “If the hypothesis is true, it would mean we killed the Martian microbes during our first extraterrestrial contact.”

No doubt Gilbert Levin would agree with them. Levin continues to insist his biology experiment proved life was in the Martian soil sample.
“We obtained positive data corresponding with all the pre-mission criteria, which proved the existence of microbial life in the soil of Mars,” Levin told National Geographic. ["I Found Life on Mars in 1976, Scientist Says"]
In essence, the two scientists argue, NASA unwittingly killed exactly what they were seeking: life.

In recent years NASA’s come under fire and increasing investigation for its alleged cover-ups and public suspicions of gross incompetency.
The beleaguered space agency’s fallen far since its glory days of Apollo. Initially led towards the heavens by its visionary genius, ex-Nazi rocket man Werner von Braun, NASA’s gone from a rising star to a falling one. It’s become politically correct and no longer has a focused mission or a manned space program.

According to a growing number of scientists and researchers NASA is hiding evidence of ancient technology scattered across planets and moons in the solar system, manipulating photos of artifacts on the Moon, Mars, Phobos and Titan ["NASA Whistleblower: Alien Moon Cities Exist"], ignoring evidence of fossils on Mars, dismissing proof of life on the Red Planet first discovered more than 30 years ago and massaging the data gleaned from satellites and computer modeling of climate change.

Okay, I get why they’d want to cover up life on Mars, or elsewhere.
We humans are a superstitious and fearful lot. And a significant portion of the population would plug their ears and cry aliens are demons or some other rubbish.
But… why alter the colors of Mars? I don’t understand what the motive is there. So it has a blue sky?

Anon @ 11:42, one could speculate that an incentive for altering the color of Mars photos would be to psychologically drive home the thought of Mars as alien and uninhabitable. Research “Alternative 3″. If the average westerner saw Mars with a blue sky, they might look upon the planet as a viable option for habitation. They might then push harder to put man on Mars and explore it. That could potentially complicate the secret space program and infrastructure-building process for the elite who intend to leave us behind on the planet they killed called Earth.
Regardless, it will not come to pass. All is well. Be not afraid.

Mars is perfectly habitable with a substantial terra-forming project. The loss of atmosphere was likely caused by a solar event which earth is also at risk of. Learning how to rebuilt that lost atmosphere may be worth doing because it could allow humans a simple if difficult means to survive future solar events on earth and mars by moving back and forth between planets. This is the only viable simple way of dodging moderate extinction level solar events. Obviously supernova major solar events would hit both planets but those are much more rare (billions of years instead of thousands or millions between major CME’s which happen to come directly at us)
So killing a few microbes is a problem, why? Do they have families waiting for them back home or something? Oh, excuse me, I have to swat a mosquito. Dorks.
Other countries have already sent missions both to the moon and mars. Some of the mission have revealed interesting things, but just like NASA, what is to stop these other space agencies from “altering” images just like NASA does? They may have directives to follow just like NASA.

This footage was recorded directly from a NASA downlink, you can even see the Houston control center and computerized images with NASA logo. Though some of the narrator’s theories are speculative, there are some very interesting anomalies.
Take note meteors are NOT self luminous outside the atmosphere, they do not make 90 degree turns, do not follow the space shuttle, nor do they make circles around the ISS. Satellites are not self luminious, are often too small to be seen from the altitude of the shuttle, do not orbit to the west, nor make 90 degree turns, or accelerate rapidly in the atmosphere.
(It also appears as if someone is “shooting” at these anomalies, it is much clearer if you buy the DVD and watch it on a big screen)

Possibly we lived on mars for a very long time had to move to earth as the climate was changing and eventually destroyed the planet (what is happening now on earth).

I was a scuba diver while in the Navy. One thing I figured out was no two seashells are identical, just like there are no 2 people on earth exactly alike, similar but not IDENTICAL. If there were 2 people exactly the same – one person could donate body parts without having to take anti-rejection drugs – dah. If you look at the bogus seashell pictures you will see it is the exact same picture and of the exact same lens / camera orientation. The markings (dots or dark spots) are exactly the same. The spots on the shell are Identical. This article MIGHT BE part truth but there is a lot of fiction or bold face lies – especially the seashell picture. I love a good conspiracy. I don’t believe we know the truth of whole story about JFK. I believe that there is more info about the fall of the Twin Towers than meets the press. I believe it but I cannot prove it due to financial resources and interventions of agencies in the U. S. Government. I realize our Government will lie to no end to line their pockets with our money and to support their rich buddies. But come on folks, wake up and realize a scam, a scare tactic, a bunch of garbage when you see it. This article about a seashell is a lie, plain and simple. Shame on the people that told the lie just to get a bunch (actually very few) people to shake in their boots or to have another unsubstantiated reason to distrust our Government Officials. As to NASA Viking missions finding evidence of life on Mars in 1976 I would refer you to Robert Jagstrow interview on the Barry Farber radio show of that year in which he express the opinion that the probe had killed something and I agree fake evidence of any kind is not needed to prove the case for life on Mars. Thou I do wish they own up to the face on Mars Terra Nova on Mars anyone.

Which government agency do we give our reliance? Surely not NASA, as one can readily see NASA has an army of busy little painters airbrushing over the images they take, doing such an incompetent job that they sometime don’t even paint out the whole artifact, but leave parts visible. Other times they just “splop” an opague blotch in the general shape of what is airbrushed out that doesn’t even hope to fit the terrain, which often appears to be a giant opague phallus thrusting into the air.
Even government agencies need to wake up and smell the truth that is permeating the world as we speak. It will take some getting accustomed to, obviously, as governments have been blinding the citizenry (serfs) since time immemorial. The last thing in the world one should do is take any government’s word for anything. Lump all MSM in there with it.
Indeed, the only purpose of any government on earth (for good or bad) is to control the citizens and exempt the controllers from ultimate responsibility. Anything that is perceived as a threat to this arrangment is attacked by the control mechanisms. This is any and all government in its smallest nutshell.
The only problem is, when too much evil permeates the controllers, the only one that suffers is the serf/citizen. It is what is happening now. There is not a benevolent ruler in the world today. But there may be potentials coming to the fore. I would encourage the potentials.
The ‘life’ on Mars is minuscule at best, and certainly not thriving. Without the abundant water that once existed on Mars, life there has all but ceased.
We know water once covered vast regions of Mars due to the patterns of hydro-erosion on the Martian landscape.
Emmanuel Velikovsky speculated that Mars came close to earth numerous times. He cited geologic features on Mars that support this supposition. Earth being larger than Mars may have extracted the water from the Martian surface at the time of the last encounter. This would account for the cataclysmic events including the global flood 4300 years ago.
The above photograph of a shell fossil on the Martian surface, nearly identical to earth varieties, further supports this theory.
