NEO 2005 YU55 Close Approach May Bring Increased Meteor Activty
NEO (Near Earth Object) asteroid 2005 YU55 with a detected diameter of 400 meters is to safely pass the Earth on November 8, 2011. This body with a close interaction may have accompanying debris that may encounter Earth as meteors or fireballs. There is also a possibility that the Moon may experience increased meteor activity. Have your allsky cameras ready and get outside to observe if possible. If you have a telescope this object will be visible. Increased meteor/fireball activity will be 2-3 days on either side of Tuesday, November 8. Another potential for increased meteor activity, asteroid 2011 UT91, will pass on 15NOV2011.

However, I reverently, as well as respectfully, suggest that you research alternatives to the whole Heaven or Hell, guilt induced, tithe obligatory, dogmatic ultimatums that have fear mongered the world since the 4th century. For objectivity sake, you could perhaps try researching alternative beliefs to diversify your perspective, specifically concerning Universal Truths and life after death.

It will be interesting to discover the effects of a close fly-by of a small asteroid. The gravitational effects of a large body like earth on the small asteroid, the debris pattern (if any) and if anything unexpected occurs.

But I would like to comment: If it was pure spam, that is, a previously written blurb slammed in, then it is just that, pure spam, and it is inappropriate. If, however, it was written in response to the article and merely contained religious overtones, then it is the opinion of the writer and has a place among everyone elses posted comments and opinions.
I’m a christian myself and my beliefs shape my conceptual framework, and my opinions reflect that. I’m supposed to be tolerant of the droll and ignorant when they express their opinions, so I would hope that those who don’t share my insights would at least respect my right to express them.
