Orionid Meteor Shower Gives Texans Quite a SHow
This was an incredible sight! At first I thought it was an airplane with something wrong with it. The tail was extremely long and extremely bright and lasted a long enough time for me to do a double take before I realized what it was and then I followed it to see it end in a blast/explosion. I have seen shooting stars before, but this appeared to be so close to the earth, that I initially thought there was no way it was celestial.

We’ve been down this road before, like just the other day! It’s no surprise that people spotted some meteors zipping through the sky during the Orionid Meteor Shower.
What is surprising is how bright and big these fireballs were! Descriptions of these shooting stars sound a whole lot like the descriptions of other ginormous shooting stars from September and October.
Even the most jaded star gazer is getting blown away by these latest fireballs.
