Sun Anomalies Seen in NASA’s Images / Solar Storm WATCH / Big Sunspot is Back 

Solar spacecrafts go crazy the last days as it seems in Nasa’s images. Something strange is happening out there or it’s just a coincidence?

G1 (Minor) Geomagnetic Storm Watch Issued for 08 August 2016

A G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm watch has been issued for 08 August (UTC day) with the arrival of a coronal hole high speed stream.
Solar Wind Speed: 475 km/sec 
Solar Wind Magnetic Fields: Bt 5 nT, Bz -4 nT

A coronal hole high-speed stream of solar wind is expected to contact Earth’s magnetic field. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras.

Moderate Activity
Solar activity reached moderate levels today. An M1.3 solar flare was detected at 14:44 UTC (Aug 7) and the source region was located just beyond the southwest limb. This was confirmed following a close examination of imagery provided by GOES-13 Solar X-Ray Imager (SXI).
A smaller flare reaching C8.5 was detected shortly afterwards at 15:09 UTC, this time from an active region now turning into view off the east limb. This is likely the return of old region 2567.
There is a chance for M-class (R1-Minor) flares over the next three days (08-10 Aug).
