Only In AmeriKa: Feds Raid NFL Locker Rooms

On Sunday, Federal drug agents paid an unexpected visit to three members of the NFL medical staff looking for dope. Investigations into violations of the Controlled Substance Act has Feds looking at NFL team doctors accused of illegally dolling out dope to keep their players on the field. These investigations have been ongoing.
The names of the NFL teams affected by Sunday’s raid have not been formally released however, the Washington post reports,
The San Francisco 49ers confirmed they were inspected by federal agents following their game against the New York Giants in New Jersey but did not provide any details. “The San Francisco 49ers organization was asked to participate in a random inspection with representatives from the DEA Sunday night at MetLife Stadium,” team spokesman Bob Lange said in an e-mailed statement. “The 49ers medical staff complied and the team departed the stadium as scheduled.”
In addition to the 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks were also subjected to an inspection. Sunday’s raid focused on what are known as medical, “travel teams” and the surprise inspection was facilitated with the corporation with the Transportation Security Administration.
