Seattle Seahawk Brandon Browner excited to rejoin team

The Seattle Seahawks have one of their “Legion of Boom” members back; cornerback Brandon Browner is truly excited about his return to the team after having stints with the Patriots and Saints.

Browner had an offer from the Washington Redskins but turned it down when the Seahawks called him. He talked about his return and how excited he is to play in a Seahawks uniform again.

“I’m happy to have a job,’’ said Browner. “Happy to be playing with my friends again.’’

While the cornerback was a part of the New England Patriots team that beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl, his jam at the line to help undrafted rookie Malcolm Butler intercept the pass to win the game will always hurt the fans in Seattle.

He continued to talk about his second opportunity with the organization and how he will be dropping back more into the safety role.

“I love it,’’ Browner said. “It’s kind of similar to some of the things I did in New England. I’ll be matched up on guys that fit my size, be in there on the run a little bit. It’ll show my skill set a little bit. Playing corner, it’s more of a one-on-one thing — we’re playing basketball out there on that island. When you’re in that box, that’s football, I think.”

I really enjoy when a player is focused on the team he currently is on and not messing around remembering what a previous organization did to him or didn’t do.

Browner said, “I’m here in Seattle, and I don’t even want to talk about New Orleans,’’

We will just have to wait and see but a new and healthy Brandon Browner and his new
“position” should help the Seahawks get to the promise land once again.

Are you excited about his move? or will Browner be one of the worst cornerbacks in the league again even without an injury plagued season.
