On a night in which once again quarterback Brock Osweiler was pretty awful, there’s still no indication of coach Bill O’Brien pulling the plug and going with Tom Savage or Brandon Weeden to try and get the offense going.
Osweiler completed 22 of 41 passes for just 131 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions as the Texans suffered a 27-9 loss to the Broncos Monday night.
“He’s a good player,” O’Brien said Tuesday when asked about the QB.
“I think it’s very difficult to come into a new system and a new team and just pick it up right away. I think everybody has to do a better job. Coaches, we all have to do better. I think he can play better. I know that the receivers can run routes better.”
The 4-3 Texans are at home Sunday to host the Lions. Only time will tell if O’Brien decided to make a switch and give someone else a try at the QB spot.
