Packers running back Eddie Lacy is not practicing on Wednesday and his availability for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys is uncertain according to Wes Hodkiewicz of packers.com.
Lacy suffered an ankle sprain in the second half of the team’s Monday night win over the New York Giants and did not return to the game. The injury is not believed to be serious but we would gauge the chances of Lacy playing in Week 6 as less than 50/50.
Lacy was running well before the injury, having gained 81 yards against a tough Giants rush defense, and at this point it does not appear to be a multi-week problem.
The Packers will be cautious as ankle sprains can linger but they need Lacy back as soon as possible-backup RB James Starks has averaged a woeful 1.8 yards per carry in 2016.
