The Ravens lost again, this time to the Washington Redskins by a score of 16-10. RSR staff react below…

Brian Bower

Another embarrassing game on the shoulders of the Ravens coaching staff, particularly John Harbaugh and Marc Trestman. After a stellar first half of running the football, Trestman again bails on the run game and the offense struggled mightily. C.J. Mosley has found himself a spot in the Harbaugh doghouse which is exactly where Trestman (and Harbaugh himself) belong as well.

The last time the Ravens played the Redskins it cost Cam Cameron his job, here’s hoping Trestman is on his way out too.

Derek Arnold

If the Ravens were worth a damn, they’d have been able to overcome the fluky things that happened (C.J. Mosley fumbling a would-be pick-six through the end zone, Washington scoring on a punt return, Breshad Perriman dropping one TD pass and not dragging his second foot on another despite seemingly having all day to do so)to win this game. After watching them for five games though, I’m not convinced they are worth a damn, nor are they showing any signs of improvement. As far as discipline goes, they’re just getting worse, as the flags flew all day long yet again.

Terrance West averaged nearly a first down per carry, but went most of the second and third quarters without a carry (save for one on a third-and-long). Marc Trestman remains AWFUL. On top of all that, the injuries are piling up again.

That was a bad football team that the Ravens just lost to. What’s that say about them? Yeah…

Tyler Lombardi

I don’t think I’ve felt worse about a game since the Browns game last year. So much went wrong. Jimmy Smith played the role of the Redskins’ percussion instrument, getting beat repeatedly by everyone who lined up across from him.

Breshad Perriman had two opportunities to make plays and couldn’t. I’ll give him a pass on the ball in the end zone, but the pass he dropped was the exact type of play he was drafted for. There is no excuse for it.

I don’t know what we expected from this offense, but it’s clear that it’s not going anywhere with the current group up front, especially in the passing game. The running game showed promise, but it was, once again, underused.

Why they wouldn’t continue to give Terrance West the rock when he’s gaining positive yards every time he touches it is beyond me. Trestman has become exactly what Bears fans told us he would be.

Oh and that’s two consecutive weeks that one of the Ravens’ receivers drops a would-be 4th down conversion. Such playmakers!

And that wasted timeout before the final play might have doomed us anyway.

Ryan Jones

That was some of the worst coaching and execution I can ever remember in a Ravens game.

Terrance West averages almost 9 yards per carry but he only gets 11 carries? John Harbaugh elects to have his kicker throw a pass in 40-mph wind? Joe Flacco looks disinterested and checked out.

The defense is playing well but the rest of this team is flat out bad right now.

We’ll add more knee-jerk reactions as they roll in…
