The 4 Downs is a weekly article involving four random football and fantasy thoughts to make you think. The 4 Downs is written by FFLockeroom’s Manchester-collegiate QB and senior staff writer, Will Pendleton (Twitter @willpendosports). 1st Down | Leaders at the ‘Quarter Pole’ The reason the NFL is so exciting and popular is due to the parity throughout the league. On any given Sunday, any team can go toe-to-toe with any of the other 31 teams and have a chance to win. However, this parity usually goes hand-in-hand with some standard expectations we have come to presume. For example, the Vikings have surprised a lot of people this year with their success but we always expect the Patriots to succeed perennially. Throughout the 2016 NFL season so far, the NFL’s parity has extended from franchises down to the players too. The fantasy leaders so far at the running back and tight end positions particularly have turned out unlike many people predicted. Other than the expected David Johnson, the top RBs through week 3 stand as DeMarco Murray, DeAngelo Williams, LeGarrette Blount, Tevin Coleman and Matt Forte.
