Jason Heyward will have to make some more room on his trophy shelf. The outfielder just won his fourth career Gold Glove award and his first as a member of the Chicago Cubs. The 27-year-old Heyward signed a massive deal with the Cubs in the offseason and won the World Series with the team just a week ago. Heyward has now won the award for the third-straight year, doing so with the Atlanta Braves (2014), St. Louis Cardinals (2015) and now the Cubs. He also becomes the youngest outfielder to win the award in franchise history. Despite hitting just .230 with 49 RBI and 7 home runs, Heyward’s glove was a big positive for the Cubs. It was the biggest reason he was in the lineup for the majority of playoff games. He made just two errors all season in right field and is arguably the best defensive outfielder in baseball.
