Jimmy Butler named to All-NBA Third Team

As the NBA is in the middle of its conference championships, the league announced its All-NBA teams on Thursday afternoon. While it will certainly be a summer filled with more trade speculation surrounding Jimmy Butler, the forward does know one thing: He’s a member of the All-NBA team. Butler was named to the All-NBA Third Team on Thursday, edging out Indiana’s Paul George and Salt Lake’s Gordon Hayward. If he makes the All-NBA Team one more time in the next two seasons, he would be eligible for the Designated Player Veteran Extension which would bring him $245 million for 5-years. The Bulls were bounced in six games in the first round of the playoffs.
