Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who flies around on private planes so as to tell larger numbers of people how they must live their lives in order to save the planet, wrote a column last year on the lack of winter weather in Washington, D.C.
In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today's anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don't own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.

New errors in IPCC climate change report
The United Nations panel on climate change is facing fresh criticism today as The Sunday Telegraph reveals new factual errors and poor sources of evidence in its influential report to government leaders.
But this paper has discovered a series of new flaws in it including:
- The publication of inaccurate data on the potential of wave power to produce electricity around the world, which was wrongly attributed to the website of a commercial wave-energy company.
- Claims based on information in press releases and newsletters.
- New examples of statements based on student dissertations, two of which were unpublished.
- More claims which were based on reports produced by environmental pressure groups.
They are the latest in a series of damaging revelations about the IPCC’s most recent report, published in 2007.
Last month, the panel was forced to issue a humiliating retraction after it emerged statements about the melting of Himalayan glaciers were inaccurate.

From 1938 to 2008, [70 years], the World population doubled, (from 3 Billion to 6 Billion). At that rate, in another 70 year period, [unless there is come mitigating factor(s)], the population will soar to 12 Billion, (with a commensurate increase of livestock & agricultural needs. ALL NEED WATER! 70% of the earth's FRESH WATER, is SAVED for MANKIND in the Antarctica, in the forms of ice & snow! At the end of that 70 yr. period, oil & gas, [the alleged culprits for the warm-up], will be greatly diminished, if not exhausted. If the reason is from natural causes, (as in the past 3 to 7 glaciations, [warm-ups] and thaws, dependent on source), then it will continue, as in the past ages [with NO help nor action, by/from man]! Whatever the reason, hopefully, most, if not all, the ice & snow will have been converted to fresh water, which eventually would enter into the earth's climatic system. Then, with the use of ELECTRICITY,[derived from renewable-energy sources and Atomic fission], will both desalinate water from the oceans and by pipeline, send it to various parts of the globe, to where it is needed/desired. For example: A large fresh-water lake, can be formed in Death Valley, (part of the Mojave Desert),in California. This area, is of course very dry, and is situated 292 feet BELOW sea level. Evaporation of that water, will cool the air above it, while water being continuously pumped in, (replenished), will tend to relieve/ lower, the height of the oceans. That lake, and many other like sites/lakes, wherever created, may also be used for irrigation, as well as water-activities,(including the ocean-leveling feature). Eons from then, electricity can create, (synthesize) water. Between the fresh-water and the SUN, hydroponics may supplement earth-growing crops, and grow additional food for the ever-increasing population. At that time, science HAS to come up with an answer as to how to support earth's inhabitants. Colonizing other planets ? ! ?Posted by Doru on Monday, February 8, 2010
Indeed , looking at the time line of Climate with the equivalent of a microscope ( decades or years ) is very deciving . As you recall , a few years ago when people were dying in Europe due to the heat wave , no 'cooling' fan was heard of ... Find the simple and rational answer by searching on this site for ' It's 20:10 , do you know where your Earth is ? ' . And no worries , this Natural global warming will keep going for a while , with ups and downs along its gentle upslope . Until the next Glaciation of course .
