Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) demonstration

See a video demonstration of Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) from NDI Recognition Systems. NDI is a global provider of ALPR solutions with a full-service, end-to-end approach that includes cameras, recognition engines, software, installation and complete back office support.

Cameras on the left and right of the police car can scan 90 degrees. This means they can drive through a parking lot and read and feed every plate into the computer on both sides of the car at regular driving speed. On the road they read everything left, right, forward, and behind.

But wait there's more, with the handy dandy ALPR read and feed chop-a-matic they can also be mounted in traffic lights, or simply posted up and down the road.

Isn't it truly marvelous that with this technology we can all be tracked across a county, city or maybe even the entire country. This means you can never be lost, the friendly policeman will always know where you are.

Negative Aspects...You could become a suspect in a crime simply because your car happened to be in an area where a crime was committed and people our Government is concerned about say for example those who attended Tea Parties well they can keep a good eye on!
