Large Triangular Object-Oxley Wolverhampton-1988

Witness Statement:After heading home from college myself and Richard are walking along Winchester rd close to his home. It’s a clear dry evening the sky is pitch black and the stars are out. What we notice are 3 bright star like lights at a slow cruising speed. We wonder is it a low flying aircraft or 3 fighters in formation high up. As it get closer to us we figure it’s a large glider as its blocking out the stars above it. Then it stops dead above us for 10 seconds. It rotates at one point of light to its left and slowly cruises out of sight. Never seen anything move like this. I’ve been to many Cosford airshow and airports to figure this was something different. It’s difficult to determine the size of the object or altitude. From where we were standing it was massive taking into account how far apart the points of light were. I’ve looked at other triangle encounters to make sense of what we witnessed but I notice the others have a red light in the mid section. This did not. Also the object was emitting no sound at all.
