My Earth Welcoming for Sharn

We are here to dedicate the body that Sharn inhabited during life back to the earth.

To live upon this plane, Sharn needed her body to interact with all that surrounds us here.

Though her spirit has moved on to the next realm, we must honor the body that she leaves behind.

With the legs of this body, she walked and danced in this world.

With these arms, she reached out to, worked with, and embraced the world and those in it.

With these eyes, she saw…
With these ears, she heard…

And with lips and tongue, she spoke and sang, expressing herself in this world.

We return this body, no longer of use to Sharn, back to the earth, as she wanted–
– to decay and dissolve, passing nutrients back to the world that gave her spirit so much!

This body is not Sharn, but it was of Sharn, and for Sharn, and through it we came to know her spirit…
… the spirit that someday we will reunite with when our time has come to release our own bodies and move on.

We love Sharn’s soul, and her body, and we show our respect and affection by reuniting this body to her Mother Earth.
