The agenda for June 2014: Selling the country to Big Oil

If it were possible, Obama is getting more shameless than ever. The way he`s selling the country to the fat cats is so obvious, his faint “I have a dream” cover speeches reach a brand new level of disgusting every time he opens his mouth.

Just this week, Obama held yet another environmental speech at Georgetown University, to present this year`s agenda: minimizing carbon emissions and boosting renewable fuels by June 2014. Allegedly, there`s a whole national plan to reduce carbon pollution. According to the agenda, the Environmental Protection Agency is going to draft a plan to set carbon emission limits on US power plants and then monitor the implementation of these new limits.

Please, allow me to be very skeptical about EPA`s competence when it comes to handling environmental issues. Our water is filled with fluoride, chlorine, heavy metals and pharmaceutical waste. Why? Because companies would have to shell out a lot more money to throw away these chemicals in a safe way, so they lobby for dumping them in OUR water. And the government opens a wide and greedy pocket and gives the fat cats the thumbs up.

And that`s exactly what they`re doing now with the controversial Keystone XL project. The same one that  James Hansen – former NASA researcher and climate scientist – called “game over for the climate.” Inside sources have already declared that Obama has agreed to approve the project next spring, even though the most reputed scientists and researchers in the world have expressed their worries about the massive pollution that may affect Americans for hundreds (!) of years.

Just think about it: this pipeline is supposed to transport oil sands bitumen from Canada to the Gulf Coast, stretching through the entire United States. A pipeline that will be built and buried underground by a very deep-pocketed company that will probably cover all their “tiny little” mistakes with piles of money. Just to give you an example:

And here`s what witnesses say about the blast:

“I was sound asleep and thought an 18-wheeler hit my house. Saw these flames roaring and I was scared, because I didn’t know what it was,” said resident Susie Goodrich.

“It was loud boom and explosion that shook my trailer and woke me up at 5:30 in the morning. It sounded like a low flying jet, and kept doing that for 45 minutes,” said resident Jay Smith.

“It looked like a bomb went off. The ground was dirt. The fire was so hot, it looked like pottery had been made. It was a big explosion,” said Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal.

“If that had been in town, that would have killed a bunch of people,” said Jay Smith.

Imagine what could happen to a pipeline that will literally stretch through the whole country… Who`s going to make sure the pipeline is perfectly safe and will stay that way in 20 years from now? The fat cats only want to cash in a load of money, while the government is very pleased even with some spare change companies throw at them. So who`s going to protect you and your kids? EPA? I, personally, would rather move to Alaska than leaving my family`s life in their incompetent, corrupt hands.

THIS is what EPA does when it comes to protecting the environment and the lives of millions of Americans:

“One day, Steve Lipsky of Fort Worth noticed that his home’s well water was bubbling–like champagne, as he described it. It turned out to be chock full of methane, so full that he could light a running hose on fire.

The EPA stepped in, worried that the contamination was the result of an oil company’s fracking activities in the area. The agency commissioned an independent study, which appeared to show that the gas in Lipsky’s well was indeed released by the drilling company.

But according to a damning report from the AP, when that company, Range Resources, balked, the EPA shut the study down.”

These are the people that are supposed to regulate what ends up in our food and in our water. Instead, they sell the country piece by piece, getting millions of people sick or killed, while Obama holds pathetic speeches about environmental protection and “the agenda”. In our faces. Shamelessly.
