I recommend leaving your phone off while camping.
Love taking my phone camping. Its a useful tool. Always switch off the radio so no calls/texts/internet but it has… GPS, compass, hundreds of books, hundreds of tunes, camera, its my clock, an emergency torch, I download ebooks about the places I am visiting, and can take notes, I have even used it to record bird song!With a little solar panel on my back pack it stays charged even on the dullest of days.Why leave it at home?
Used the flashlight app a lot. Another one if your inclined wild edibles and plant I’d.
Apps I use camping: StarGazer, Grog Knots, Survival guide, first aid, tracks & skat, Reserve.gov. fun stuff. educational.
When camping we have our phone but that is for emergency only. We are.too busy enjoying the great outdoors.
What do you want this app to tell you? locations of campgrounds? how to build a fire? what to pack? campfire songs? recipes?
Most people go camping to get away from stuff like phones. Have 1 in the glove box in case of emergency only.
