Gander Mountain & Minnesota Wild Celebrate Five-Year Partnership

St. Paul, MN -( For the fifth consecutive year, the Minnesota Wild is teaming up with Gander Mountain to offer a hunting experience with Wild players and a Blaze Orange Night at Xcel Energy Center.

The exclusive “Hunt with the Wild” experience will offer four winners plus their guests a guided pheasant hunt in partnership with Pheasants Forever and Federal Premium. During this November 2 half-day hunt, a current or former Minnesota Wild player will join each winner and their guests.

Between now and October 23, fans can register online at for a chance to win the guided hunt opportunity at Wild Wings of Oneka in Hugo, Minn. The day will include lunch, friendly sporting clays warm-up competition, four-hour pheasant hunt, catered dinner, and each participant will receive a Gander Mountain gift pack.

“We are excited to once again partner with the Wild to offer experiences that Minnesotans love – hockey and hunting,” said Ron Stoupa, Gander Mountain’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and E-Commerce. “For five years now, Minnesota Wild fans have looked forward to these two great events, where blaze orange joins red and green as part of the team colors for one great night at Xcel Energy Center.”

The partnership will continue on November 23 when the Wild players will wear limited-edition orange jerseys from Gander Mountain for warm-ups, and 18,000 fans will receive a blaze orange Wild hat when they enter the arena. The jerseys will later be available via an online auction, with proceeds going to benefit the conservation efforts of Pheasants Forever. The hat giveaway has become one of the Wild’s most popular annual promotions, with the Xcel Energy Center’s stands being filled with a sea of blaze orange-clad fans.
