Did Trump Make a “Secret Deal Not to Prosecute Hillary” in Exchange for Her Concession?
Admittedly, the question is speculative, but not without merit.
During the debates and in the heated final days of the campaign, Donald Trump vowed to assign a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary and send her to jail.
It was easily the highlight of the entire campaign:
But when you talk about apology, I think the one that you should really be apologizing for and the thing that you should be apologizing for are the 33,000 e-mails that you deleted, and that you acid washed, and then the two boxes of e-mails and other things last week that were taken from an office and are now missing.
And I’ll tell you what. I didn’t think I’d say this, but I’m going to say it, and I hate to say it. But if I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation, because there has never been so many lies, so much deception. There has never been anything like it, and we’re going to have a special prosecutor.
When I speak, I go out and speak, the people of this country are furious. In my opinion, the people that have been long-term workers at the FBI are furious. There has never been anything like this, where e-mails — and you get a subpoena, you get a subpoena, and after getting the subpoena, you delete 33,000 e-mails, and then you acid wash them or bleach them, as you would say, very expensive process.
So we’re going to get a special prosecutor, and we’re going to look into it, because you know what? People have been — their lives have been destroyed for doing one-fifth of what you’ve done. And it’s a disgrace. And honestly, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. (source)
But, now that victory has set in, and the election is officially over, can anybody expect that he will actually do it?
Certainly, we must wait until he is inaugurated and has a chance to show what kind of president he will be.
However, Trump’s victory speech gives good reason to doubt the prospects for his actually assigning a “special prosecutor” against Hillary Clinton.
He opened the speech with praise for Clinton and a call for unity – certainly a different chord for now-president-elect Trump:
TRUMP: I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. (APPLAUSE) She congratulated us — it’s about us — on our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign. I mean, she — she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.
(APPLAUSE) I mean that very sincerely. (APPLAUSE)
Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division; have to get together. To all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people.
Certainly, there is something to be said for being a gracious winner – and for Trump, proving to his critics that he won’t be their worst nightmare.
But what really accounts for the shift in tone?
Late in the evening, John Podesta – top aide to Hillary, thoroughly implicated in wickedness by Wikileaks – announced, in essence, that the campaign would not concede, that they would wait until every last vote was counted.
Clearly, Team Hillary was fully prepared to challenge a recount, to take it to court in every venue possible. Al Gore did so (and with good cause), and she could too.
Hillary and her campaign had every opportunity to deny Trump easy victory, even when there was no real chance left for her.
And yet, shortly after Podesta’s announcement, Trump gave his victory speech, noting a call from Hillary Clinton herself in which she conceded – but on what terms?
Though it is admittedly speculative – can anyone else claim to know what was said during that call? – it is entirely possible that the primary demand for her swift admission of defeat was that any and all possibility of prosecution and investigation for her sordid and illegal activities be taken off the table.
Did Hillary make THAT call? Did Trump essentially grant her immunity from his own special court in exchange for the win he otherwise already earned?
Only time will tell.
But it STILL seems that Hillary knows something that we all do not – because she has said all along that it is not going to happen… that there isn’t even the slightest chance:

What will Trump do in the first 100 days?
Don’t be surprised if campaign rhetoric ends up being just all talk. For Trump supporters who were, above all, opposing Hillary Clinton and urging her being prosecuted and held accountable – don’t hold your breath.

Nice article. They’ve both softened their language toward each other (for the moment). I expect that Trump going after Hillary or Clinton Inc., might be popularly perceived as “vengeful” or political grandstanding, even by most conservatives. I don’t expect that he will. I also don’t expect that he’ll attempt to deport millions of illegals. I think there are reasonable practical constraints on Trump doing these things – which he’ll soon discover about many of his proposals as time goes on. I suspect he’ll stick to the meat of his proposals, which are pretty good in my view, and will get better results by focusing on anti-corruption, term limits, anti-TPP – stuff of that nature – than by focusing energy on the Clintons. I’d like to see him fire Lynch and then give the new AG full support in investigating Benghazi, Emailgate, etc., while devoting his energy to reforms.
Trump was just being gracious and noble in victory.
Justice is finally coming to Washington, the swamp WILL be drained.

HRC an President Obama both held exceptionally gracious press conferences in respect to the new President elect. If they had been this diplomatic and professional during the process I believe they would have awakened to a victory.

Clearly when Clinton made these claims she was in a much different spot, she was on the road to the WH, her WH. Nothing like a little indictment was going to stop that. She’s no longer on that road. Plus there was no need for Trump to make any offers to her for her concession. It was late nearly 2 AM. Her concession publicly could wait. Clinton didn’t have a state where the race was tight enough for a challenge that would matter any way.

If the Clintons are so sure of things, why did the Clinton Foundation transfer some $1.8 billion offshore to Qatar a couple weeks ago? Sounds like a bug-out nest egg to me.
Hillary knows some things we don’t know, and so does Trump. We can infer, but we don’t know exactly.
1. She has a degenerative neurological disease and a short life expectancy. She’s going to die from aspiration pneumonia, or from a stroke, if nothing else kills her first.
She takes blood thinner to reduce the chance of embolism in her brain. And she had bleeding in her brain when she fell in 2012.
2. She can blackmail enough people in the Establishment, or threaten them, to keep the lid on her many scandals.
Look at the Epstein scandal. Only one of the many people involved went to jail at all, and that was just over a year of jail time. Nobody makes an issue of the fact that Bill C. left his Secret Service detail behind, on several of the trips he made with Jeffrey Epstein.
3. HRC and Trump both know that a global disaster will occur, any time from right now, to just under 6 months from now.

Oh, I almost teared up, witnessing most of America voting Republican, regardless of their party. Oh it was truly a Revolution after all! But then…..a foreboding feeling hit me…what’s up with this? No terrorist attacks, no solar weather storms, no Hillary?
I immediately thought, oh yeah, she was cleared again by FBI, they probably made some type of deal to get rid of this because so many people would probably go down, it would expose everything. I wouldn’t trust a word coming from the mouths of habitual and pathological liars! When they say peaceful transition, shattered ceiling, divided, etc…, those are all code words. Don’t give them the opportunity to practice under the “cloak” of darkness and inauthenticness.
Just replace the heads of the FBI and Justice departments and then let them do their jobs along with the NYPD. The files are already there, they were just blocked by Comey & Lynch. Let them do the dirty work – no need for a special prosecutor. That way Trump takes the high road, saying that things are following normal channels without any political interference. The Clintons must be tried in the court of public opinion, any legal punishment will be icing on the cake. Can you imagine the legacy of the Clinton Memorial Library, with Hugh Hefner as the tour guide ;o)
The NYPD has the Anthony Weiner files and is willing to prosecute. The level of corruption must be brought out to the public or it will continue. The curtain is slowly being raised and if we want a real change, the common “Joe” must learn the truth in order to evolve.

I hope not and I’ll tell you why. One of the biggest reasons that Trump got the turnout that he did is because the average person in this country is tired of being a second class citizen subject to harsh laws that the elite are exempt from due to status and wealth. In order for Trump to prove that he is what he campaigned as, he will have to pursue a rigorous unbiased investigation into the Clinton’s obvious criminal activities. No one can be exempt including obama. Trump will lose all credibility if he lets the Clinton crime syndicate ride safely off into the sunset and rest secure knowing their legacy will be saintly. The American people have had eight years (much more if you count the Bush and Bill Clinton years) of corruption and crime rammed downed their throats. The American people not only deserve but demand swift justice. The American people deserve above all else The Damn Truth for once out of Washington.
